This auction is for a beautiful 1949 Dodge Wayfarer Business couple. This a fantastic representation of a 1949 Dodge. Very original with 67,000 original miles. The car maintains its original "Island Green" paint color. It has been repainted one time. I estimate the paint to be from the 1970's but I have no way of knowing for sure. The expert at my local auto body supply, said they thought it was painted in lacquer. It still shows very well as you can see from the pictures. Some areas are thin which provides some nice patina. The engine runs strong and does not smoke. The car drives straight and stops true. All gauges work. All lights work. A very straight and clean original. I have driven and showed the car wining in the 1940's original category. I recently spruced the interior including new headliner, windlace & door panel upholstery. I also lowered the car 2" using different front springs and lowering blocks. I the original springs go with the car. I will remove the lowering blocks and install the original springs for purchaser upon request. This may delay shipment 5-7 days, but will be provided at no added cost.
