Vehicle Detail

Beautiful 1979 VW Beetle convertible! Tons of work done on this car over the past 5 years. - all work done by either Classic Camber VW shop in St. Petersburg or RPM motors. I have much of the paperwork back to 1981; it was originally a GA car and made its way to FL via 4 owners. I have been driving this around town ( less than 1000 miles a year), no highway travel and always garaged. I had it painted in 2010 by Maaco - not a great paint job but passable. It was converted from fuel injection to carburetor before I got it. Odometer reads 50,900 but cannot verify if that is correct. Here is the list of things I've had done since 2007 ( I have the receipts): New White EMPI SCAT interior (new white Bucket front seats and new rear bench seats) NOT JUST SEAT COVERS but the entire seatsNew Door PanelsNew visorsNew headlinerFloor pans Inner and Outer Wheel bearingsCarpet kitRunning boardsNew CarburetorElectronic IgnitionBrake hosesStruts and ShocksTurn signal switchExhaustHeat exchangerclutch cableGas Tankthrottle cablespark plug wires/plugsair cleanerignition coilThis has been a reliable daily driver and the engine runs strong, tracks true. So here's what you need to know about it - the hood release in the glove box does not work (I think the cable is broken); one of the hood hinges is broken (but hood works); the dome light on the rearview mirror does not work. As you can see in the pictures, there are a couple of rust bubbles in the quarter panels. There is a small rust bubble on the drivers side door. With a little body work and a new paint job she'll be just like new. Since this is a 30+ year old car; there is no warranty, sold as is, where is, buyer pays shipping. On Dec-06-13 at 07:50:03 PST, seller added the following information: I've added picture of floor pans and front /rear end.
