Vehicle Detail

RELISTING BECAUSE LAST WINNER WAS A DEADBEAT WHO DID NOT PAY OR CONTACT. NOT SURE WHY IDIOTS DUE THIS BUT BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS IS A CONTRACT: DONT BID IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PAY. 1988 JAGUAR XJS. This is a one owner car (see purchase agreement) with clean CT title. The car was stored for many years indoors. The fuel went bad in storage and car would not start. Took to a Jaguar dealer where it then sat outside for a year before it was worked on. The car shows signs of this weather exposure now. I spent $600 having the car gone through and have the written appraisal of condition from them. They statethat it has good compression and is a good car and they cleaned the plenum. Advised to replace the fuel rail becasue of the bad gas. This car ran great when put away for storage and I am sure it will again. I have found a service that completley rebuilds the Fuel Rails to factory condition for $420. The starter is weak and I am including another used one for replacement. Needs a battery as well. This car is good for parts or restore. Leaving at the dealer for so long was a mistake that caused the car to need more work than when brought in. The roof needs paint. Selling as is for repair or parts. I know this car will run with fuel system clean out. Too good to just sell for scrap so I am listing with no reserve. My loss is someones gain. I dont have time to work on and am losing storage space. It is currently in Newington CT. It will need to be towed or I can arrange delivery for cost of service. The last 2 pictures are before it went into storage for reference of condition then and now. On Nov-22-13 at 07:43:36 PST, seller added the following information: Do not bid if you have zero feedback. I am tired of the "I will pay you extra to ship to some faroff country if you return the extra money to me " scam. I will cancel bids from zero feedback bidders that look suspect. On Dec-03-13 at 15:04:11 PST, seller added the following information: I have recieved several messages asking about condition and some asked if it would be a good candidiate for V8 conversion. Please review the pictures. The car is a good candidate for restore/repair as it is in good shape for a 25 year old. Couple small pings and one small rust spot on bottom of front fender. It is going for very low money only because I dont have time to work on. This car ran GREAT when put away and with the fuel cleaned out and battery/starter done I know it will run really well again. No need for V8 conversion. This car is complete and really selling for what it costs to buy a door or hood for one of these. If I had a place to store I would keep it for sure. I do have 2 cars with V8 conversions available for sale from a friend as well if thats what someone is looking for. One has a big block 427. Not going to sell for this little money though. So I added this note to let people know that it is a nice car and easy fix in my opinion. Is it show quality ? No, but it is 25 years old and hard to find a legit 72K one owner car like this one. Take a look at the last picture again. That was taken the day I brought it to the dealer before it sat outside. The car was a good looking original Jag. The winner of this auction is going to get a great deal. I paid more just to have it diagnosed and checked out. Good Luck !
