This auction is for a 1955 Chevy. It has sat in a barn for about 12 years. After having floor pans put in it, all the rusted metal replaced, it has had a lower partial quarter put on the passenger side. New rockers. This car is ready to build. All the welding has been done except for a little grinding on the welds, and finish the body work. The body was off the frame before it was parked 12 years ago. At that time it was all undercoated and the frame painted, but after sitting in the barn so long, it does have a little surface rust on the bottom of the frame again. The front bench seat is present, no back seat. There are some minor parts missing but these would be better purchased new anyway. There are 3 sets of fenders that are decent but need caps over headlights. There are 2 hoods, one is nice but the other has holes where a tear-drop hood scoop was on it one time. There are 2 trunk lids, both are very nice. There are no inner fenders and no bumpers to the car. Car has no engine, transmission or interior. This is a very straight car with very little body work needed. It does have the original windshield and back glass, all the window regulators are there. They may need greased and serviced. The bottom of the doors are not rusted and in gray primer. This car seems to have been in good condition when the person put the floor pans in it years ago. The tail pan below the trunk is nice, shock towers are nice. Virtually everything I have for a 55 Chevy goes with this car. Keep in mind that there are a few parts missing and I do not have those. The missing parts are readily available out there, you can find them. I am listing this car with a reasonable reserve on it to cover my costs. The special person who selects the Buy It Now option to buy this car, will also receive a 283 engine to go in the car, that is out of an early model Chevy pickup truck, and a manual transmission.
