Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1992 VW Corrado VR6, green with tan leather interior. I bought this car a few years ago in much rougher shape with the intent of fixing it up and a lot of time and money has gone into this car. When I bought it, the car didn't run and the front end was poorly rigged to sport Jetta headlights and a larger aftermarket bumper. The car now runs great and is a ton of fun to drive. Since I bought the car, we've done the following: New low profile tires New calipers, pads, and rotors, brake lines, and e-brake cables the whole way around Replaced the oil pan gasket, fuel filter, spark plugs, and spark plug wires Replaced the left window regulator Started to take the front end back to stock (bumper, headlights, lockset carrier, etc.) The car also has a lightweight clutch flywheel, short throw shifter, Magnaflow exhaust, aftermarket lightweight fenders, glass Passat sunroof, and Highflow air intake. Slightly lowered with Neuspeed springs and Bilstein shocks and car handles like its on rails! Overall, for a project car the vehicle is in great shape and is about 3/4 of the way there. It obviously needs some cosmetic work on the front end. The rest of the car's paint looks excellent and there are only 2 tiny dings/rust spots. The sunroof doesn't work either but that's because of a faulty/broken track (nothing to do with faulty electronics, motor runs and switch is fine). Other than that, all of the electronics and power options work great (including the rear spoiler) and mechanically this car is sound and ready to go. The interior is also in pretty good shape given its age and usage. Also included is the original metal sunroof, set of 4 original BBS rims, the Chilton shop manual, a lot of extra hardware and the other bumper I bought it with. I really do hate to see this car go but need the money for college. Vehicle sold AS-IS. Buyer is responsible for pick-up/transport. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of successful auction win. On Nov-26-13 at 18:52:57 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Forgot to mention that the A/C compressor was removed at one point which we do not have. Yes, the sale of this vehicle DOES include the extra parts we have for it which includes the original BBS rims, metal sunroof, after market bumper cover, G60 wiring harness, original suspension springs, and various misc parts. On Nov-28-13 at 11:29:20 PST, seller added the following information: SECOND UPDATE: This car was made in Germany and confirmed by the VIN plates and stamping on the strut towers. Other items that were done are all new wheel bearings on all four wheels and new front axels. The radio is an after market Alpine that is Satellite ready and has the front USB port for iPod or iPhone with detachable face plate.
