BEAUTIFUL MK VI PURCHASED FROM A SAN FRANCISCO, CA SELLER IN 2002. THE AUTO HAS BEEN IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (SAN FERNANDO VALLEY) FOR THE LAST 11 YEARS - ALWAYS GARAGED AND COVERED. After I took delivery of the auto, I had the following repairs done. The manual transmission was removed and serviced, the flywheel was replaced, the starter rebuilt, a complete brake job, the radiator and gas tank were removed tested and repaired, the pitted exterior chrome was removed and re-chromed, seat bottoms were reupholstered, and a two-tone paint job was done including wheels,. With the exception of the fuel gauge there are no other known problems. All items work including the pop-out turn signals. The " His Master's Voice" Radiomobile is intact and turns on. The engine starts effortlessly and there is no smoking or knocking, the transmission shifts correctly.. Although the auto has not been washed or waxed over the last nine years, the auto shows well without detailing. Since my purchase of the vehicle in 2002, I have driven less than 200 miles.
