1959 Cadillac DeVille Convertible Original Survivor Unrestored Untouched since 1972 One Owner Numbers Matching with Every Available Option This may be the only 1959 Convertible Cadillac DeVille that you will ever find in this original, untouched, unrestored condition. Rarely do we stumble upon a vehicle of this age with this many rare parts that are all direct from the manufacturer and that has been stored inside for the last 41 years. I am listing this vehicle for a customer, he inherited the vehicle from his uncle, who bought the car in Missouri in 1959. He remembers the day he brought it home and went for a ride in it around the block a memory that will last a lifetime. Here is your chance to make your own memories or maybe use this as an investment purchase, these cars properly restored are bringing big money always 6 figures and sometimes much more. The great thing about this car is the condition, not only is it all there, but it is solid. We have cleaned it up to remove the 41 years of dirt and grime but did not change, paint, or modify anything on it. Buyer should assume that the majority of the mechanical parts on the car will need to be restored due to the age and originality of the vehicle. The glass will need replacing, but the window frames are good, I do not know the condition of the window motors, but everything is there and complete. The convertible top is complete but do not know if it is functional currently. The interior will need a full restoration as well, everything present and in need of restoration. The best part about this car is the quality of the sheetmetal, we are restoration specialists and understand the process of restoring vintage vehicles, minimal rust bubbles in the lower right rear quarter, maybe 4" long by 2" tall. Some surface rust on top of the roof and trunk that should clean up with proper media blasting and minor metal preparation. The floors have minor surface rust and a few small holes where moisture gathered from the carpet sitting, you could patch them in small sections, not major rust at all. The worst of the rust is in the trunk on the passenger side, it will probably need a 1 foot by 2 foot patch either replaced from a donor car or fabricated. The car has factory air conditioning with the original compressor and lines, engine is original right down to the glass overflow canister, power brakes, power steering, cruise control, power top, EZ eye glass, fog lamps, push button/seek radio, leather interior, power windows, and auto dimmer. The buyer inherited this car with the intention of having our shop restore the car to original condition but has decided to sell the car as this is not the right time for him to take on such a project. Due to our own experiences buying cars online we want to disclose any issues we have found so that you can bid with confidence. To show you the condition of the car we have attached a link with video and more pictures of the car. Here is the best part as with all my auctions, this is a no reserve auction. This car is also for sale locally, if you are an overseas bidder you must confirm payment method and timeframe before bidding, otherwise I will cancel your bid. We ship worldwide, but I am aware of the scams. Terms are: wire transfer only, or cash upon pickup. No games. http://s1365.photobucket.com/user/grubbsmotorsports/library/http://s1365.photobucket.com/user/grubbsmotorsports/media/59CaddyVideos001_zps4f258316.mp4.html?sort=3&o=0On Nov-20-13 at 18:28:59 PST, seller added the following information:It's been brought to my attention that ebay has this listed as a DeVille and Cadillac did not make a DeVille in a convertible until 67 or so. Anyway, so that there is no confusion this car is a series 62 which you can see by the VIN number. Also, a few people have asked when it ran last and to the best of our knowledge it hasn't ran since parked in '72. Also, after many offers to end the auction early, we have declined all offers and decided to let the auction run its course, the winning bidder will own the car. It is not for sale locally any longer and will sell the the high bidder. We just wanted to clear up those 2 questions, good luck. Michael
