Vehicle Detail
If you are looking at this car, I am going to assume you know what they are all about. If you do not, you can explore comprehensive details here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Insight This is a one owner car that I just bought a week ago. (title is being transferred). I absolutely love this little car in the short time I have had it, as I am somewhat of a MPG freak.BUT I was not seeking the car out, I was actually looking at another vehicle and that deal fell through, but the insight caught my eye and I just could not pass up the deal. I do not need it, and so I am selling. This car has..... 24,500 miles on it. Compare that to the others for sale that routinely have 200k plus miles and still are in high demand and this car should bring many, many more milesand years of high efficiency at the pump. 800 miles per tank will cut most drivers gas bill in less than half. It is not perfect, but close, as the pictures will show. The older gentleman who owned it, "parked by feel" in his garage and the car obtained a number of nicks in the front left fascia where it would come to rest against the snow plow :( But other than those and a few scuffs that may polish out, the car is beautiful. I have not even cleaned the car up prior to these pictures. My first outing in the car was about 100 trip. Part highway,. part through town. The odometer shows the results. 69.7 mpg. I have a stack of service records that the gentlemen provided. The reality is, he did not understand the car, and how it should function. Therefore, he took in to the dealership quite regularly to complain about some small issue. In talking to the dealer - prior to buying, they instantly knew the owner and car and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it - except - he did not drive the car enough!According to the dealer service manager, the drive battery has been replaced by Honda (at no cost to owner) a number of times and they finally said after 6 times, they could no longer do that. Again, the problem is he did not drive the car enough to allow proper charging and suspect he did not follow proper storage procedure when putting the car up for the winter months - as he did. So if you have been looking and waiting, and perhaps missed out on the others that have sold. Here is another chance, and a unique one. Tires, brakes, struts/shocks all very good. Recent starter battery, and of course regular maintenance all along.Interior - very clean. There is some dirt stain on the driver seat side cushions. But again, I haven't even attempted to clean the car at all, so those may come right off. I am not convinced that the passenger side has ever been sat in (until my son rode with me).Exterior - very clean, minor scuffs/nicks. (Headlights still have that new car shine without any fogging). Always stored inside.
