This is a beautiful, rust free, 4 door 1941 Studebaker Commander that has undergone a complete body off restoration. The undercarriage was completely dismantled and restored with NOS parts where necessary. Brakes were completely rebuilt with new lines, cylinders, etc. The engine, clutch, transmission, overdrive and differential were professionally rebuilt using original Studebaker parts. Paint is immaculate two toned blue/gray with dark blue body stripes (original Studebaker colors) with clear coat. Door panels, seats, headliner, and carpet are new and as original. Dash and garnish moudings were redone in original colors and are perfect with NOS plastic inserts. All dash instruments (except speedometer) were replaced with original NOS gauges. The steering wheel, horn button, and grille, are NOS. Most all interior and exterior chrome is new (not replated). Bumpers were professionally plated to 'show quality'. All rubber seals (doors, trunk, etc.) have been replaced as original and the doors and trunk seal tightly. Glass is new. All stainless trim is perfect without dings or scratches. Hubcaps are new original and the factory accessory beauty rings around the hubcaps are new. Trunk has been redone and has original jack, etc. which have been restored and painted. This is a beautiful, dependable, road worthy, drive anywhere automobile. The mechanics and steering are excellent and the steering is without play. All work was professionally done and everything is in good working order. This car won its' AACA National Junior and Senior Awards in 2010 and was nominated for a National Award. The AACA Chief National Judge commented, "This car is the best restored Studebaker I have seen in several years". You will not find a better restored Studebaker anywhere. The pictures do not do justice to the overall condition and appearance of the car. You could not begin to restore this car to its present condition for the asking price.
