This is an actual 1974 Monaco painted as close tothe movie car as we could get it. The push bar was made by me from the original CHP diagram. We spent hours going frame by frame on the DVD to get it as close as possible. The car has had within the last two years. New shocks,rebuilt carb, new battery, new radiator, new distributor. I drove this car over 2000 miles this year. The frame seems to be OK but the body is very rusty with lots of bondo and holes in the driver and passenger front floors and holes reappearing in the rear quarter. The dash lights come and go and the driver seat fabric is torn. I saved this car from the demo derby, it had gone to the junkyard. Believe it or not I'm only the 2nd owner. I no longer have the time or funds to keep the car but being that it's a 74 and so hard to find I would like to see it go to someone who could accomplish this restoration/preservation. I never got time to build a roof speaker. This car is tremendous fun to drive/float down the road in and the people that know what it is, love it. You'll have the only one at any car show. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. I will accept cash or certified funds for this car. I'm smart enough to know all the stupid scams so don't bother. Will NOT do back flips or jump bridges. I know I'll probably never find another. I would restore it myself if I had the means. I hope it goes to someone who can get the job done.
