Vehicle Detail

1961 Austin Healey Sprite with the 948 engine. This car runs and drives and is an excellent candidate for restoration. The car is solid with minimal rust. The areas typically prone to rust in these vehicles, like the the floor pans and bonnet quarters, are in good solid usable condition. Car has factory optional heater. Top frame bows and side curtains are there. In order to list the vehicle a mileage number was required. The speedometer is not working so I am unsure of the actual mileage. Clear Title. Any questions please email and I will be glad to get back to you. $250 Paypal deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Remaining payment in cash or like funds due before or at time of pick up. Inspections are welcomed. Thanks for biddingOn Oct-31-13 at 06:47:30 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is located in Thomasville North Carolina. On Nov-04-13 at 18:25:46 PST, seller added the following information: I realize that everyone may not be able to physically inspect the vehicle and after some further inspection this afternoon I wanted to add some additional detail and pictures. On closer inspection today I have found some more rust than I had originally thought. This is mainly in one area on the spring mount passenger side of the car. I have taken several pictures of this area and I am posting them to the listing. The pictures of this particular location will be evident. The rest of the car still seems to be in above average condition for a Sprite. I am also posting pictures of the drivers side spring mount and some pictures of the underside from this area up to the front of the floor pans. As can be seen in one original and the additional pictures, the drivers side floor pan has some small holes rusted through under the pedals and the passenger side I believe has one small hole. Also, as can be seen in one of the original pictures it appears that a previous owner cut the transmission tunnel just behind the gear box possibly taking a short cut to replace the clutch with out pulling the engine and transmission. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks
