I am the third owner of this unusual,North American built, 2 stroke, 3 wheel motorcycle. This is the TOP OF THE LINE model per the sales brochure I have. This RTS 340 has a 2 cylinder, Kohler 2 cycle motor that produces 28 Horsepower. This was the same motor that sent snowmobiles of that era screaming through the snow. Electric start and and when running everyone around you will know it's a 2 stroke…. Leading link front suspension with 3 way adjustable shocks. Front wheel has a drum brake and rear has a disc on the axle under the motor. This unit has optional rear cargo carrier, as well as behind seat pouch for carrying registration etc. I enjoyed a bit this summer here in Grand Rapids Mi. This trike is quick.!! No shifting, just twist the hand grip and go. Factory turn signals and front and rear lights, as well as horn. Rear Bumper. Brand new rear tires and rims (originals included as one kept going flat) as well as drive chain installed this summer. I purchased from the 2nd owner who owned it for about 30 years and he took very good care of the trike, and had given it a new coat of correct paint, upholstery etc. prior to me buying it. Title is included in my name as well as copies from the 2 previous owners. Hagerty Insurance insures this and is insured with them for $5000. Like any old vehicle there will be tinkering to do, but all I know that may not be working is the horn and speedo. You have to premix the gas and included is copy of owners manual with all the maintenance information you will need. Many NOS parts still show up here on ebay for the Alsports. Once again, most of these bikes were for off road use and have been left outside to rot and corrode, but this top of the line, with the biggest motor built, is a very nice example of a 39 year old, AFFORDABLE, North American built motorcycle/trike. While I hope bidding exceeds the opening bid, this is an affordable trike that turns heads and can be used for daily transportation, show, or just occasional rides as a classic.
