Vehicle Detail
We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or not have a thorough description of that item. Our goal is simple. We aim to be honest and fair with all of our deals. Word of mouth and return business has gotten us this far. We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale. Business is STILL expanding, explaining the new eBay account. Deals.on.wheels.05 is associated with Dealersdirect2013, expect the same support. FEEDBACK does not lie! The Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is very similar to a Chevrolet Corvette. Instead of paying roughly $15,000 - $30,000 for a 1995 Corvette, you can buy a Z28 for a fraction of that cost, and still have the same engine! This 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, green convertible at that, is equipped with a very well known, desirable 350 LT1. This was also in the Corvette around that time. The Camaro has nearly the same aero-dynamics with an all fiberglass body. Thousands of dollars cheaper, cheaper parts, and easy maintenance, what would you decide? INTERIOR: I have seen a few interiors; usually they are neglected because these attract the younger crowd. This Z28 is generally good shape. The leather is in great shape for what it is, I recommend a good leather treatment. The Convertible top works electronically great, like it should. The steering wheel has been worn down a bit. The gauge cluster works fine. Usually the center console is torn up from entering and exiting the vehicle, but this one is still fully functional. The driver side window has a bad connection and does not go up and down, but on the same control, the passenger side window works great. The A/C system blows air, fast, but it’s not as cold as I would prefer. A simple recharge would definitely take care of this problem. It would be less than $30 if you buy a recharge kit and do it yourself. Honestly the interior is in great shape; just some small things need to be addressed to be 100% once again. Just needs someone with patience and pride. This will not even be expensive. This Z28 has an aftermarket Pioneer CD player equipped. You can also listen to your playlists on your phone with a simple wire. EXTERIOR: Because the body is mostly fiberglass, there are no dents or dings. Overall the clear coat is still in great shape. I did notice in one spot there is some oxidization appearing on the passenger side around the top of the door. Other than some light scratches this car is a perfect canvas. I have not seen any indication of any accidents, all the paint looks original, and the body lines match up great. When I took the car to the car wash, I was aware of the condition of the convertible top. There is a tear on the top, (shown in the pictures). This happens from time, and the sun. When pressure washing the car I did not get any water in the cabin. Just don’t spray directly in it. The top does not leak anywhere, even when it rains. If you need a temporary fix, you can put tape over it until it gets fixed. Like I said the top is still fully functional, it just doesn’t look pretty. I do not know how much a new top would be, or how much a repair would be. I do know that there are kits supplied so you can repair/replace it yourself. I am honest with all my deals; I want my customers to be fully aware of each vehicle. Like most Camaros, the front bumper cover needs to be addressed, still no cracks or holes. Just needs paint. The wheels are aftermarket, chrome “American racing” and there is a plenty or tread left. I have not seen any rust on the car at all. This is my favorite generation, the recessed headlights are glass, and not plastic that always yellows and oxidizes. This generation is not seen everywhere! MOTOR/HANDLING: I couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel of this iconic muscle car. The ride was 30 minute adrenaline rush. I now know exactly what to expect from a LT1. This high output 350cc engine has 275 hp and has 325 ft. lb. torque only in the Z28 model. This engine was previously in the Corvette. Chevrolet decided it needed to be in a more affordable car. 1995 is when the often-problematic Opti-spark distributor was updated to include a vent to remove moisture from the unit, making this year problem free. Basically, when you are in a moist environment, condensation would build up in the distributor and cause misfires and difficult start up. This is the first year when the manufacturer decided to put a vent in the distributor to eliminate this problem. 1997+ I believe came out with the LS1, some people prefer the LT1 because it sounds more “old school” muscle car sound instead of the newer muscle cars out on the road today. The LT1 has a very raw, distinctive, unmistakable sound that is incomparable to anything else. The suspension still feels very stiff and feel hugs turns very well. The car grabs the road and will not let go. The acceleration is ridiculously fast. This car is PURE! The steering was very stiff and responsive as it should be! The only reason why this car is at no reserve…. When in Drive, first and second gear are fine, but I noticed at 50mph and I accelerate about 60% the transmission feels like it slips. The RPM’s go up but the car does not feel like it’s is gaining speed like it should. When I have the car manually in first gear it feels fine accelerating and letting off, and the same with second gear. In drive and “overdrive” it is fine till about 60mph. A hard acceleration going that fast I believe the gear slips out and the engine roars, RPM’s are racing up, but the speedometer is very slowly gaining. I am not a mechanic; I am simply telling you my experience. I do not think the transmission is bad. It might need a simple change/flush. We have had the car for over a month and this is the first time we have had this problem with it. This car has not been looked at by our mechanic/repair shop. I looked at the transmission dipstick and noticed the fluid was low, and slightly dirty. My personal opinion: I believe that the transmission fluid and filter needs to be changed and I think this “slipping” will be fixed. Honestly this car needs an owner that will care for it, and this car will be in its prime once again. There are just a few things that it needs. If you do it right, this can be very cheap to have like new again. This would be an excellent father/son project, mechanic special, even a QUICK FLIP. This would be perfect for you Chevy fans that have a performance transmission lying around. Also, some people buy these and convert them to the Borg-Warner six-speed manual transmission. You have a great, solid foundation to start. In the end result you can have a unique, custom iconic muscle car that is yours for cheap! Be a purist and own an actual Z28 piece of history. I am considering all reasonable offers; message me if you have any questions or offers. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND READING MY LISTING! HAPPY BIDDING! GOOD LUCK! FEEDBACK IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US!
