Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs here is what started as a "project" 1976 Honda CB750K custom/restore that a friend of mine built, that turned into an absolute "one-of-a-kind" work of art by completion. He is an intensely passionate model R/C car and airplane hobbyist, so you can deduce his incredible eye for detail and this CB750 of his is no exception! I have been involved in the motorcycle industry professionally for nearly twenty-years and have seen hundreds, if not thousands of bikes over the years, and very few that come even seemingly close to rivaling this one. This bike is a must have for the vintage Honda enthusiast or even the collector. Understand that this bike is not a "100% factory restore" but what I would regard as a custom restore (virtually every aspect of this bike has been very carefully considered realizing however, that some parts for this bike have been out of production and obsolete for decades, therefore making it impossible to utilize "all" factory OEM components for the custom restore). With that said, here is the "nuts and bolts" of this 1976 CB750K beauty. Enjoy !!!! Descriptors/ upgrades/ component detail: - Clean and clear Oregon title (current plates as well) - 286 miles on a brand new top end (approximately 12k miles on the transmission with Heavy Duty clutch springs) - Completely rebuilt carbs jetted for optimum performance and POD filters - 5 speed gearbox - Brand new wiring harness - Upgraded electronic ignition system with upgraded coils - New Seat - New rear shocks and front forks have been completely/entirely rebuilt - New cables including: clutch, speedometer, and throttle cable - Front brakes / master cylinder and caliper rebuilt - 4 into 1 exhaust header ( the header has an integral baffle at the end of it and sounds fantastic. In respect to performance and sound, the muffler was not considered for this build, although someone could easily put one on if inclined). - Upgraded brass bushings in the swingarm which replace the factory Honda plastic busings - Upgraded roller bearing installed into the triple tree replacing the factory Honda "ball bearings" - Upgraded 16" rear wheel for ride-ability - New chain and sprockets - New locks and ignition switch (which was relocated to the handlebars for convenience)- very clean in appearance - one year old maintenance free battery with batter tender lead installed - Very rare integral oil-cooler for the motor (see pics). This of course was an entirely custom install - Aftermarket chrome/billet mirrors - Side cases, valve covers, front & rear wheels, as-well-as the front forks- all polished for individuality and uniqueness - New rear fender as-well as front and rear fenders featuring a checkered flag pinstripe - The tank is from a 1978 Honda CB - this was done for aesthetic purposes (badging considerations etc.) - Engine mounted gauges, chromed drive chain license plate frame and much more !!!!!!!! In conclusion, the only item not 100% functional on this bike is the tachometer (it works properly up until the mid to upper RPM level and then fades back a little- this is due to a mechanical issue inside the tachometer itself) otherwise, this bike is superior & nearly flawless in every mechanical & cosmetic way, shape, and form. There has been an incomprehensible amount of time, energy, and resources (financial and otherwise) put into this build. Please only bid if you are financially ready, willing, and able to perform once this auction ends. I aim for a transaction of excellence - please do not assume anything about any auction (if you do not know, please take the time to ask). This bike is not for everybody!!! Please respect the caliber and integrity of this build ( please refrain from sending lowball offers, as this is not the type of buyer we are seeking for this individual bike). Thank you for looking, make it a great day, and enjoy this little bit of Honda's past CB750K history. Note to buyers: I have experience with shipping nationally, as-well-as internationally and can certainly help advise/coach you with this process should it become necessary.
