The BJ61 was built for the Japanese Domestic Market and has all the options that were always “dreamed of” but never available here in the US! The 3B Diesel engine produces decent power and lots of torque, while still achieving 25-28 mpg on the highway! This vehicle has only 65,000 miles on an engine known to go to 300,000 or more with proper care and maintenance. With the H55 five speed transmission, factory PTO Winch, and 31 inch tires this vehicle can go virtually anywhere the "Legendary Landcruiser" owner desires!Strong running, well maintained BJ61 with all the options! Gets great gas mileage (25-28mpg) with good power from the original factory 3B Diesel. This truck turns eyes everywhere, and is a blast to drive! The body is straight, but has a few rust issues in the common spots on the inside fender-wells and a few other spots. This truck also has a pretty rusty frame, which is why my original plan was to use this drivetrain in a conversion into my clean, no rust FJ62. I have currently run out of time to do this conversion, so am offering this truck for sale as-is running great with just the rust issues unfortunately! I have recently done some frame repairs to patch the major problem areas and make the truck safe to drive anywhere. Rare options include the factory 3B diesel engine, factory PTO driven winch, and the high “Safari” roof with factory sunroof which was very seldom seen on the BJ models! The truck has factory suspension and 15 inch alloys rims with 31/10.50R15 All Terrains that are in decent shape with maybe 70% tread life left.This truck has been averaging 27 mpg while driving mostly around town and occasionally on the highway! The truck is running strong, and is a blast to drive. Don't be intimidated by the right hand drive, as you will pick it up naturally just like my wife did in just a few trips. The interior is in good shape, with no major issues. This truck has factory heated seats which was another rare option as well. This vehicle is right hand drive as it was made for the Japanese market, extremely fun to drive and will only take the average driver a few spins to handle it like a professional!Recent maintenance includes all fluids checked and/or replaced with new, new oil filter, new air filter and all carpet and upholstery steam cleaned. The engine is in great mechanical condition with no leaks or issues. The body is clean and straight, with only the rust spots around the inner fenders as mentioned above and a few other small spots! I have gotten a quote from my local body shop to repair the body rust issues of $2,800 but unfortunately the frame rust is more severe. I am selling this truck for either the drivetrain to install into another BJ/FJ Cruiser, I have a clean FJ available as well, or someone could find a decent frame and do the bodywork to make this a sweet, low mileage rig!?
