Vehicle Detail

This is a 2000 BMW 540i in great condition with an excellent, near comprehensive-from-delivery day Carfax report. I have owned it a little under one year. We don't need multiple cars in our household any more, so it will often sit for three of four days - it will be a much happier machine for someone who uses her daily. It's a rare car, being a manual 540i in this color combination. It is in good to great shape with a few exceptions I will note below. Factory options include: Xenon headlights Backup sensors Factory Navigation (it works, but needs the proper DVD for locale that I don't have) Heated seats Sunroof I have replaced the following (or it had been replaced just before my purchase): - It has brand new tires all around (Continental ExtremeContact DWS All-Season) with less than 1500 miles on them - replaced in June of this year. - valve cover gaskets - new spark plugs- new OEM fuel filter- new front swaybar bushings- brake/clutch fluid flushed and refilled with OEM brake fluid- new clutch (previous owner dealer installed - do not have paperwork for this however)- new radiator and upper/lower radiator tubing (a particular weak point for these cars)- new radiator fan clutch- new engine and AC belts- new power steering lines and fluid - new headlight covers and adjusters (the car basically has new headlight assemblies) What's good: - the interior is in amazing condition for a car of this age. It is in near excellent to perfect condition with no rips, tears, stains, etc.- the V8 runs strong and the manual transmission is smooth shifting, a real joy to drive- brakes have lots of life ahead of them- AC blows cold with no issues What it could use: - suspension refresh, mostly bushings- ABS/traction control ECU needs to be replaced or repaired. You can have this repaired for $300 or so. Until then, you will see ABS/Traction Control lights intermittently on the dash. - cosmetic work...it has a handful of small dings (mostly in the doors - some have been shown in the included pics). It has some faded trim bits, such as the roof rails, bumper trim, etc, and some light scratches on the hood near the windshield. I've just not bothered with fixing these things, but I suspect someone could clean this car up for very little out of pocket, especially if they know how to do ding repair and paint refreshing themselves. All in all, this is a fantastic driver and one of the more engaging BMWs to drive - not a lot of V8 BMWs with a manual transmission. Comfy, torquey, just a good all around car. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!
