This Volvo has been COMPLETELY RESTORED, EVERYTHING NEW OR REBUILT TO NEW less than a thousand miles ago!!! It has not been hot rodded or cut up in any way. The first thing to note is that this car is COMPLETELY 100% RUST-FREE and was just restored with 46,285 orig miles! This is a rust free car and that is very rare for these cars as they all usually rust out in various areas throughout the car. It has been in California it's entire life and has been well taken care of. It has been in the family since NEW and essentially a 1-OWNER CAR! This car was put away in 1978 with just 46,285 due to an issue with the engine. This car has had only 1 re-spray throughout its life that was just done. It was taken all the way down to bare metal and done in a 2-stage Cappuccino Cream and looks absolutely amazing as you can see in the pictures. All the chrome on this car has been professionally re-chromed and it looks great! The moldings and rest of the brightwork is in great condition for its age and shines up well. The glass is in good shape all around the car. Both the windows go up and down smoothly as they should. All the lights work including the: headlights, high beams, turn signals, brake lights, and running lights. The doors open and shut well as does the hood and the trunk. All the body lines and gaps line up well. The engine has been upgraded with the legendary Volvo B20 and it has been completely rebuilt to stock specs with less than a thousand miles on it. The block is the correct color as are the air cleaners for the carbs. The radiator has been completely redone and keeps this car very cool. The Volvo B20 motors are legendary and will go to the million mile mark and beyond if properly maintained. The highest recorded mileage ever was with one of these engines reaching over 2.9 million miles! This Volvo fires right up on the first try and sounds great! There are no starting or charging issues and it also has a brand new battery, 12 volt system. The engine purrs and the dual SU carbs are synchronized properly. The stock manual choke works perfect. This Volvo runs and drives better than new and will make it anywhere you want to go without fail! There is plenty of power and the 4 speed transmission shifts well through every gear. It shifts into every gear smoothly and is not vague. The clutch is new and adjusted properly. The steering on the car is tight. All the suspension is new, springs, bushings, shocks, etc.. There are no leaks at all from the engine, transmission or rear end at all. The brakes are all completely redone and stop straight with no pulling to either side. All of this makes this car a joy to drive, great for pleasure cruising or a trip across the United States and beyond. The interior is very clean and has been completely redone to compliment the exterior. The seats have all new foam and there are no rips. The carpet is all new front and back. The rear package tray has also been redone as well. Dash lights, temp gauge, gas gauge and speedo still need to be hooked up. The dash has never been cut up and it still retains the original Volvo radio that came with the car as an option back in 1964. A CD player has been installed in the glovebox and it sounds great. There are 5 1/2" speakers installed into the kickpanels and two matching 6x9's fitted to the rear package tray. Even the dome light works. The original steel wheels have been repainted to compliment the exterior color and the chrome hubcaps and trim rings really set them off. The orig bias ply tires where replaced due to dry cracking and flat spots from sitting with a full set of matching BF Goodrich radial tires that have less than a thousand miles on them. The trunk has been carpeted and holds a full-size matching brand new spare tire as well as the original jack. There is also a ton of paperwork documenting the work that was done to the car. If the machine shop still has the orig B18 engine I will throw it in and if they do not have it still.. sorry. This car runs and drives great and is truly a blast to drive!
