2004 Volvo C70 HPT We are pleased to present this very nice Volvo C70 HPT. HPT stands for "high pressure turbo" which translates to a very fast, very powerful car. Because it is turbocharged, it also allows to excellent efficiency and tremendous gas mileage. It's the best of all worlds. The car also features STC which stands for "Stability and Traction Control." This helps keep all of that power in check and helps to maintain control of the car in slippery situations, like in rain or on snow or ice. This makes this a true year-round convertible. The C70 was introduced by Volvo in 1998, and was facelifted and perfected over the years. The final year was this, the 2004. By 2004, Volvo had really gotten the manufacturing and engineering figured out on these cars, and they are truly bulletproof, refined, and simply stunning. Because this is the high-pressure turbo model, it features the 2.3 litre 5 Cylinder engine. This is the strongest and most stout iteration of Volvo's legendary 5 cylinder turbo powerplant, and will run absolutely forever! The interior of this C70 is in very, very good condition. It has black leather heated seats with beautiful walnut accents on the dash, console, steering wheel, shifter, and glove box. The hand brake lever is leather-wrapped with a nice brushed-aluminum button. There are also beautiful chrome accents on the interior door pulls to add a classy touch.. The car has the premium audio system. This system deserves almost a full paragraph on its own as it was simply the best audio system offered in any car on the market in its time. It features 100 Dynaudio speakers which are driven by an Alpine 100 watt x4 amp. It features a 3 disc in-dash CD autochanger along with Dolby Pro-Logic decoder which breaks apart digital music sources and allows you the experience of surround sound in your car. There is even a centre channel speaker on the dash which allows the vocals to come from directly in front of the passengers. Dynaudio, a company based in Denmark, manufactures speakers that are some of the highest-end speakers on the market, and overall, this audio system in this C70 is in many ways comparable to the multi-thousand dollar Bang and Olufsen stereos in new luxury cars. The power convertible top functions properly and is in very nice condition with no rips or tears. It is fully insulated and has a complete headliner. It is very quiet, and this car can easily be run year-round. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages which conveniently pull out of the centre console armrest. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. The side airbags are part of Volvo's SIPS (Side Impact Protection System). Sips is a grouping of several safety features to protect intrusion into the cabin during a side impact. The doors are fitted with high-strength steel door beams, and the door sill openings are designed as such to prevent the door from pushing into the car's occupants. Additionally, the SIPS airbags mounted inside the front seats provide added safety. Speaking of safety, the C70 features Volvo's ROPS (Rollover Protection System). This is a pair of active roll bars which deploy from behind the rear seat if the car's internal sensors detect that it is probable the car will roll over. They deploy in a fraction of a second to keep the front and rear occupants safe. The windshield surround and A pillars also feature strengthened steel to keep the windshield area from collapsing in a rollover situation. This allows the C70 to be just as safe in a rollover as a hard-top coupe. This C70 also features the climate package which gives you comfy heated seats, along with heated exterior mirrors. The rear seats feature a pass-through in the center for skis or other long objects. The cargo area is very generously large for a convertible and can accommodate more than a weekend's worth of luggage easily. The exterior of this C70 is in stunning condition and has absolutely no dings, and very very few scratches. It is Black Sapphire in color which is a striking metallic black color that looks incredible in direct sunlight. The exterior styling of the C70 was penned by the Italian firm Pininfarina which has designed many exceptional exotic cars like ferrars and the like. This C70 features the very rare BBS two piece wheels which were a very expensive option. They are quite light which reduced unsprung weight and adds to the performance and handling of the car. The transmission also operates properly. It's very smooth, while still handling well. Again, transmissions were a weak point in these C70s, and the transmission in this car was replaced about 18,000 miles ago by the Volvo dealership.
