1955 Porsche 550 Vintage Spyder!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1955 Porsche 550 Vintage Spyder that has only completed about 3000km or slightly less than 2000 miles since new!!! This gorgeous recreation is a Vintage Spyder and is built and finished beautifully. The fit and finish of this car is spectacular. The Vintage Spyder is truly one of the best 550s you can purchase. Vintage Spyder currently has about a one year wait to order a complete car and this car would cost in excess of 40k dollars!!! This Spyder has only had one owner since being built and is in beautiful shape. This particular Spyder was spec'd with just about all of the options and a very powerful 2276cc flat four producing 140hp and 170 ft/lbs of torque. This is a considerable amount of horsepower for a 1400lbs car! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun driving a car. This car has a spectacular look that grabs everyone's attention. It sounds unbelievable and unlike anything else on the road. The chassis is excellent and extremely rigid. They really do a great job hand assembling these cars. Every panel lines up excellent and everything opens and shuts with ease. These are great cars to go for a quick blast down the road or for a nice scenic drive. Click to enlarge Exterior: This beautiful Spyder looks great finished in its beautiful titanium grey base coat clear coat paint. The paint job on the car was very high quality. The entire car was completely disassembled and painted separately The result is incredibly impressive. The paint has a very "deep" look and has a great shine. When the car was painted, it was done properly and professionally. This is a 100% rust free car. Every panel lines up perfectly and all of the doors, hood and trunk all open and shut with ease and have a solid feel. This car makes everyone think of the James Dean and everywhere you go, young and old all enjoy looking at the car and talking about it. The exterior of this car is in beautiful shape and is in like new condition. Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful Red interior of this Spyder is like new and in pristine condition. The interior is virtually faultless. The front seats, door panels and dash are like new and in excellent shape and are free of stains and tears. The carpet is like new and in excellent shape. The beautiful Nardi wood wheel feels excellent in your hands and really gives the interior a great look. All of the beautiful trim is in excellent condition and is like new. Everything is in excellent working order. All of the gauges lights etc... are all working perfectly. This car also comes with the accessory roll bar that can easily be bolted in place for that racy look and additional protection. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and is a great place to be. Click to enlarge Engine: The 2276 ci flat 4 engine fires right up and runs like a top. This engine, like the rest of the car, was professionally built and of high quality. It was built by Fat Performance in California and the car runs and performs beautifully. The car sounds unbelievable breathing through twin weber carbs and a beautiful exhaust system. The engine is even topped with Porsche valve covers! This car is going to be very simple and easy to run and maintain due to its simplicity and large availability of parts. The car's transmission is the classic freeway flyer 4 speed that shifts excellent and the gearing is suitable for highway driving as well as city driving. The car runs nice and cool, even in Arizona's hot and dry climate. The 4 wheel disc brakes stop the car incredibly well and have a great solid feel. The car tracks down the road straight as an arrow and feels solid driving down the road. These are really well built replicas and should not be confused with low grade kit cars. All of the lights, signals, wipers etc. are in great working order. This is a great driving Spyder that is truly turn-key and can just be driven and enjoyed.
