This is a great small SUV for commutes and severe weather conditions because of the AWD. The only downfall of SUV’s in my opinion is gas millage. They need bigger motors to suffice for the weight; the Escape is great because it weighs less and has a small 3.0L V6, making gas consumption as affordable as your average car. This particular Ford Escape XLT was very well maintained. By the looks of it inside and out, the millage does not show on the rest of the vehicle. Considering the fuel economy this vehicle is ideal for commuting because of its comfort and safety rating. Do not be discouraged, vehicles are designed to last longer and longer; do your research. INTERIOR: As soon as you open the door you can tell, this is very clean. The previous owner really did take care of this vehicle. I have not seen any rips or tears anywhere. It appears that there are no stains either. There are no odd odors or any indication of smoke in this neat Ford escape. I think there is a bad connection with the radio, the volume works sometimes and the disc changer opens and closes rarely. We are across the street from an audio store and you can get a new one installed for around $100, or even get this one fixed for cheap. Other than that the windows, locks, sunroof, gauges, and climate controls work great. The A/C is actually very nice. The very back hatch panel is gone but everything like the wiper and latches work as they should. You can barely even notice it. This is a very cheap part. You have a practically new vehicle after those 2 things. EXTERIOR: The paint is all in excellent shape. I have not seen any major dents or dings. I also have not found any rust; the clear coat is in great shape. I believe the vehicle has been garage kept. It does not look like this vehicle has not been exposed to the elements. This vehicle does not look aged. The Ford Escape body style has not been changed much, making this look like the newer models. MOTOR/HANDLING: The Escape drives like a small SUV should. I have not found any fault while driving. The acceleration is very responsive and got up to speed better than expected, it also stopped fast. Everything sounds as it should on start-up and idle. The gears shifted very smooth and sounded great. The Escape took turns very well and the suspension felt great still gripping the road and hitting bumps. This SUV exceeded my expectations all around. The only fault I hear with SUV’s is the size and gas millage. This small size compensates for both. It is very easy to maneuver, park, and drive while maintaining a lighter weight it does not need a bigger motor therefore causing less gas consumption. The size makes it very easy to get in and out of the vehicle comfortably. This would be great for first time car buyers because of the safety rating also making it easy for insurance. The All-Wheel Drive feature keeps your options open as you can drive this off road or in bad weather conditions. I am considering all offers; please contact me if you have any questions.
