1982 TOYOTA HILUX PICKUP TRUCK 2.4L 22R I’ve Owned and Driven this truck as my only vehicle up until a week ago, almost 2 Years. When i bought it I put on new distributer cap, Rotor, Plugs and Wires. It just started to act up on me. Not sure if it is the Clutch plate or what. Engine Runs and Shifts into gear but when i let the cluch out and give it gas it starts moving but makes a popping sound, it did this on my way home from the grocery store. So i went thru the gears fast as 4th and 5th gear worked fine. Looks like fluid sprayed or leaked out when all that happened. I'm getting ready to buy a van which will be more suitable for me so i didnt want to fix this. BRING A TRAILER to Haul it home as even tho it moves something is keeping it from moving the way it should and will only cause more damage if you drive it i'm guessing. I have a nice clear Kansas title ready to sign over. There are some places in the cab floorboard areas filled with spray foam. Its been good transportation for me for 8 months in Minneapolis and 1 year in Parsons Kansas. Please ask any Questions, i dont need to make a fortune on this truck but want someone to be happy with what they get. Its old, its rusty its a 4x4 Selling as is, Thanks for looking! The 4 Wheel Drive worked excellent last time i used it. GREAT Tire Tread on all 4 tires All Weather, Great for winter...that were put on at same time. Carburetor not stock, changed out by previous owner for higher fuel efficiency. Engine runs fine for me but I got used to the trucks idle, until it gets warm it seems to want to cut out as you stop. I just threw it in neutral and slightly gave it gas at each stop. Has about a ½ Tank of Gas ~ When you pump gas you need to hold the nozzle at an angle so it doesn’t leak at the neck. Been a good vehicle for me up until a week ago. When whatever is making the popping sound in the drive line. Engine runs the same as it had. Just from describing it to someone they thought the clutch plate but I havent messed with anything. Hitch on back bumper not Included, also the Junk in the bed that i need to take out is not included. Cut out in rear of glove compartment (someone must’ve put a radio in there at one time, leaving the original radio, which currently doesn’t power on.) Rust n Holes all over the truck and underneath and frame as it is a 31 year old Minnesota Truck. Original color was blue, i painted it with Black Enamel Automotive Paint. Awesome TIRES but one (rear pass) has a slow leak, every few days I aired it up to 40lbs and it would go down to about 10lbs, probably needs a good remounting seal. Or checked for a small nail hole. Not sure so i just kept airing it up these last few weeks, i didnt use any fix a flat on these awesome tires. Topper has a small crack in both plastic bubble windows and a few in top but seem to be only on two diagonal corners and small leaks. Bed has a tarp then a sheet of plywood and makeshift pieces to cover holes in the bed and wheel wells, lots of rusty holes is why I did that because I haul antiques and collectable tools, glassware and all kinds of fun stuff. Pictures show physical detail but ask if you have any Questions, i'm not a vehicle expert so if you have any questions on anything i'll try and describe it the best i can. And i havent charged or done anything to it.
