I am selling this truck for a friend that is very ill, and won't be driving any time soon. The Good: The truck is in very usable condition. A mechanically talented guy could easily fix it up a bit. It is a four wheel drive, so the possibilities are endless. The interior is especially nice. It has a Sony CD player and very comfortable bucket seats. A/C blows cold and everything I tried, worked fine. It has the V8 5.2L engine option and has great power and a smooth idle. The transmission performs nicely with no slipping or misplaced shifts. It has a quality Snug Top shell on the back with single hand latch. It has a long bed, so has a lot of room in the back. The coolant is green, the oil and transmission oil look fine. The tires are close to new, maybe 80-90%. I personally drove the truck 50 miles and had no problems. The California registration is good until May 2014. It passed smog test first time and I have the certificate for you. The Bad: The gas gauge shows on empty line, but bounces around as you drive. I put in gas, and still does the same. You may need to set the trip meter to know when to get gas, or replace the sender unit. The engine has some seepage, doesn't seem to drip, but is oily under on the front diff. and the pan. The right front door handle gasket is misplaced a bit. The steering is a little loose on the freeway, I am sure the ball joints or tie rod ends are worn. I did not do a complete inspection on the truck. The rear sliding window for the cab is missing or removed, the gasket on the shell seals to the cab, so it makes for a pass through into the bed. The Ugly: the paint on the hood and cab roof is peeling badly and shows the primer below. The rear bumper has a dent from a post backed into. The bumper still sits in the correct position. The windshield has a stone chip, fixable. See the pictures. I did not see any signs of previous accidents or paint work. Please follow my deposit instructions within 48 hours, and pick the car up within 7 days. Failure to follow these and I will file for resolution. I like the auction process, so please don't ask me to end it early for you. Please don't bid if you are not going to buy the truck. My guarantee: If you don't like the truck after winning the auction, making the deposit, and driving it, you don't have to buy it, but you do lose your $250 deposit. I never try to force a sale.
