Yes it is a TRUE - Code "63D" - 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau Special Two Door Hardtop as shown on the correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Thunderbird data plate, shown in a picture below. 1966 was the last year for this body style Thundrbird and they tell me it's the year to have !! We just purchased this T-Bird from the previous older Washington state owner and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! This BEAUTY is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! I drove this Thunderbird for about a week as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you it runs and drives EXCELLENT !! It cruises smoothly and easily in town and also on the freeway at 75+ mph !! If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look this BEAUTY over and drive this car for yourself, you won't be disappointed !! THIS CAR IS READY TO ENJOY !! This Thunderbird has what appears to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - "Z" Code - "GROUND POUNDING" - (315 HP) - 390 CID V8 in it that is running very well indeed. The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL four barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL style air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL four barrel carb. It is amazing how much power this car has, UNBELIEVABLE !! Sounds good too with the factory style true dual exhaust system. When we bought this car we had the compression checked on the motor by a mechanic and he found that all eight cylinders had right at 125lbs. compression !! The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - C6 Dual Range three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well. This car is nicely equipped including WORKING FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING that blows COLD and was just retrofitted and serviced to R134A, FACTORY POWER STEERING, FACTORY POWER BRAKES with discs up front, factory power windows, factory power wing windows, factory tilt away steering column, factory power door locks, factory front and rear seat belts, good heater and defroster, factory fender skirts, original AM transistor radio which is no longer working, original clock which is no longer working, dual chrome Thunderbird exterior remote side view mirrors, optional factory power 6 way adjustable driver's seat, factory gauge package with a 120 MPH speedometer, factory day / night rear view mirror, good glass, factory power wipers, factory back up lights, factory inside rear opera lights and the original working fender mounted turn signal indicators. The odometer reads 1,229 but true miles are unknown or exempt as it states on the mileage declaration on the title. Just look at this thing though !! The Dark Green Metallic exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with several very small chips and some imperfections showing but is still bright and shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the pictures !! This Car is a great runner and a real nice looker. It has great looks and GREAT power as well ! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure ! These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. The ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless exterior body trim is in VERY NICE condition including good ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE ORIGINAL badging and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome grill and Thunderbird ornament. This Thunderbird has what appears to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - "Z" Code - "GROUND POUNDING" - (315 HP) - 390 CID V8 in it that is running very well indeed. The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL four barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL style air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL four barrel carb. It is amazing how much power this car has, UNBELIEVABLE !! Sounds good too with the factory style true dual exhaust system. When we bought this car we had the compression checked on the motor by a mechanic and he found that all eight cylinders had right at 125lbs. compression !! The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - C6 Dual Range three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well. These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. The ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless exterior body trim is in VERY NICE condition including good ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE ORIGINAL badging and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome grill and Thunderbird ornament.
