Vehicle Detail
1965 FORD Mustang Fastback VIN 5R09C169835 About the car: I bought this Mustang from a collector in Seattle last September for a friend of mine who lives overseas (who had the intention of exporting the car.) This Mustang was used occasionally by the owner and was garage kept in a controlled environment. Coming from a state that gets a lot of rain, I do believe that this car was not sitting outside. We were waiting for the paperwork to be able to export the car, but due to some family issues, my friend decided that it is not a good time to invest the time and money, so the car is now for sell. The overall condition of the car is very good. I wouldn't call it a museum piece, but it is a great looking collectors car. The car was painted at some point with the original H - Caspian Blue I don't see rust anywhere on the chassis or body. All emblems are there. You can see more pictures on this link. The motor sounds very good and does not smoke or leak. ( I only a few droops when is parked for over a month) .Looks to me that is the original engine. ADDITIONAL VIDEO AND PICTURES The transmission shifts fine and does not slip. (3 speed Auto) The interior is original and is in good shape. The rear seats have some tear. I'm not sure if that can be repaired or they need to be replaced. I have this car in a storage right now, and once a month I start the motor and take it for a ride to keep things from deteriorating. The car starts with no problems every time. Here is a recent video of the car running. Battery is new and tires are at 90%. I'm not an expert on Mustangs although I owned a few muscle cars before, and I did a frame off restoration once. I think this is a good looking car for someone that is looking for a classic weekend ride and also a good investment. The few times that I drove this car on the street, I was surprised how people recognize the Mustang fastback as a true classic. Please read the full terms and conditions, the description, and closely look at all the pictures before bidding. I strongly suggest that buyers personally inspect the vehicle if possible, or arrange for a 3rd party inspection before the auction ends. This is a legally binding contract and the last bidder will be the owner of this vehicle. I DID MY BEST TO PROVIDE PICS THAT SHOW OFF THE QUALITY OF THE CAR. I'M LIKE YOU, IN THAT I DO NOT LIKE SURPRISES WHEN BUYING ITEMS OFF EBAY, BUT THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS. MOST OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER 12 MONTHS OLD BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE CAR SINCE THEN. TODAY IS PARKED INSIDE IN A SECURE STORAGE WITH THE COVER ON, WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER. THE TITLE IS SIGNED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED FOR EXPORT. Winning bidder has to pay within 7 days after auction ends. A $1000.00 PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours after auction end. DOWN PAYMENT IS NON REFUNDABLE OVERSEAS AND INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME I CAN ASSIST WITH EXPORT ARRANGEMENTS AND SHIPPING. Good luck bidding. On Oct-01-13 at 13:25:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Door plate Odometer reading On Oct-02-13 at 05:49:49 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION.I believe the car was manual and the previous owner switch it to auto.I do have the previous owner ( that owned the car for many years) contact info. I'm not planning to contact him for every question. But when the auction ends if the new owner have a specific important question. I will be happy to help.
