This 540iA performed flawlessly on a cross country trip from Los Angeles to Tampa in August. I am the 3rd owner of this 15 year old German Sport Luxury Cruiser. Please remember she is 15 years old. As good as she is, this vehicle does have a few details that need taken care of to make her 100% again. Mechanically: the vehicle has been checked over by a BMW specialist and the only known issue is that the the check engine light is on, due to a faulty electrical thermostat. However the mechanical portion is working perfectly and the car has NO overheating issues! Rear passenger window regulator needs to be replaced. Cosmetically: After 15 years and 136,000 miles the paint has some chips and is starting to fade a little, but it still shines up nicely, as seen in the pictures. The gray, full power, heated leather seats show some wear, but are still incredibly comfortable. Some of the wood grain trim is cracked. Overall: Great car. As is, makes a great daily driver or winter car. With a little attention you can easily make it new again. If you're a fan of BMW's, you know how great this car is. If you've always wanted to get into a BMW but were afraid of the costs, you can't go wrong at this price! Nearly 300 horsepower! 0-60mph in 6 seconds (in a car that weighs nearly 4000lbs!)
