Up for sale is my 2004 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. I am a certified diesel mechanic by trade, and the second owner. I am selling it because I no longer need to own a vehicle. I purchased it from the original owner, who was also mechanic, in August 2013. Since then, I have daily driven it and taken it on a few trips. Like virtually all Jetta TDI’s, this one has been lightly driven and seen (obviously) mostly highway miles. Here’s a run-down on its features: Engine: 1.9L, 110 horsepower 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine w/Turbo Direct Injection Front Wheel Drive5-Speed Manual Transmission Interior: Cloth Seating Surfaces Heated Front Seats (Cold Weather Package) Air Conditioning Power Windows (with pinch protection) & Door Locks Power Heated Side Mirrors Tilt & Telescopic Steering Column Split Folding Rear Seat LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) – For Child Car seats Child Rear Safety Doors Front Side Airbags Cruise Control Exterior: Power Sunroof 15” Alloy Wheels Single CD Player & Cassette Player Monsoon ® Sound System Remote Keyless Entry System Daytime Running Lights Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) The good: It is in VERY sound, reliable running condition. Starts and runs with no problems. New turbocharger, head gasket, camshaft & fresh oil change 2000 miles ago. The transmission shifts just fine and there are no outstanding sounds or mechanical quirks anywhere. For its age and mileage, it is about average condition but certainly no where near “beater” status. Paint looks shiny. No structural damage. No rust. Clean history report (will provide upon request) – Only two owners (originally in AR) This car definitely still achieves near its originally stated highway fuel economy of 46 MPG. Mechanic owned. Confident it will continue to provide excellent daily driveability. It has been an extremely reliable car and I know this Jetta still has PLENTY of miles ahead of it. ALL EQUIPMENT WORKS: Heated Seats, Power Sunroof, CD Player, Cassette Player, Stereo System, Power Mirrors/Windows/Locks all function without any problems! Air Conditioning blows ICE cold. The bad: There are some dings and scratches here and there, which is to be expected considering its age and mileage. There are some chips in the windshield, and the tint isn't looking so hot. Overall paint is about average, but there is no rust or outstanding blemishes aside from a dent on the driver’s side front fender, clear coat looks great The interior needs to be cleaned. Seats, carpeting and headliner have various grease spots throughout. I’m sure there is a specific upholstery cleaning product or service which can greatly improve the appearance. The center armrest is broken and faded dark (can probably be replaced for cheap) as well as the glove box handle (can still be opened). A reserve price is set VERY reasonably for this car and under KBB value, so please do not message me asking what it is; bid as much as you are willing to pay for the car.
