For Sale is my 1968 Manx Style Clone Dune Buggy. This is one eye catcher. The motor is a stock 1600 with a single port, and EMPI stock carb. This makes it even more affordable to drive and super reliable. The only thing I haven't done to this buggy is to spend more time cleaning up the engine. If you know about these engines, you can pull the engine in about ten minutes and then give it a good steam cleaning. There is an occasional drop of oil, but it seems to be from oil on the back of the engine. and when it gets warm it will run down some. The oil cooler hose was loose and putting oil on the back of the engine. That problem is fixed. The interior and paint is all new as for the tires and wheels. I got this car from a customer who traded me for some work, now the wife and I want to go to Italy for our anniversary so were selling the buggy. All the work listed below has been done since June this summer. New Chrome Headlights New front inner and outer tie rods. New fuel line ran through the frame. New tires front and rear. New wheels painted with same paint on the car. New Chrome wheel rings, chrome lugnuts and center caps. New Professionally made Bikini Top. New padded entrance guards on driver and passenger side. This prevents scratching paint while getting in and out. New professionally made rear seat. New Covers for front seats. New EMPI shifter with reverse lockout. New polished Chrome diamond plated dash area. New steering wheel. Fresh single stage Electron Blue paint with silver metal flake. Looks great under the sun, but is not too much Flake that it spoils the look. New professionally made carpet in a dark grey color. This isn't a kit, it looks great. New EMPI stock carb. New single port intake. I wanted to make it very reliable and inexpensive to drive as my daughter and wife drive it occasionally. All said this is one neat little machine that goes through the sand and still will run 65 down the highway. I am including a tow bar with the sale. I installed 2 new valve covers and gaskets. I then drove it for about 30 minutes and parked it in my garage and the leaks are gone. Just did this , this afternoon. Call me with offers!
