Vehicle Detail
1970 GTO Convertible. True 242 car. It is 1 of 3615 built in 1970 and 1 of 2172 built with an automatic. Has 26,104 original miles (this is previous owner's statement-I cannot confirm-may be 126,104). Numbers matching (I have confirmed this; the VIN is on the block, left of timing chain cover). Definitely 400 block. Original color was gold. The previous owner had GTO since the late 70's. The car still retains most of the original parts. It has the YS 400(350 HP) motor with # 13 heads, Turbo 400 trans and 10 bolt safe-T-track rearend with 3.23 gears. Factory options on this car are Am/Fm push button radio, Dual sport mirrors, Rally guage cluster with clock, Power top, Air shocks, P/S, P/B with factory front disc's, A/C, Factory 14 inch Rally II rims. 1970 was a one year for this nose style. This car rides great and handles well, but has been a "sitter". Garage kept always. It was built the 3rd week of March in Fremont, Ca. It has white interior with black accents and a white convertible boot cover, white a white top. Has brand new tires on it with 500 miles on them. No tire kickers and don't call if you have to ask your wife. No I don't need help selling my car so don't contact me. Test drive only with cash in hand. DO NOT bother bidding if you have issues, marital, psychological, can't make decisions, etc. Bidding on Ebay is not a release for emotional instability. Seven (7) days to pay IN FULL. NO exception. These statements due to previous non-buyer with all the above. This is body/paint "driver condition". As they say, "20 footer". Very minimal rust, excellent floor pans, trunk pan/floor, & frame. No accidents that I am aware of or can detect. The top has a 6" rip on the back passenger side. Top is a "glass" back window option, in good condition. As seen, the rear bumper is painted. Great candidate for eventual restoration while driving. A picture of the windshield VIN plate can be furnished, as well as the title. AS IS sale. 904-881-3495 On Sep-14-13 at 10:01:45 PDT, seller added the following information: $18,500 will buy this car.
