Up for sale is a 1996 Jaguar XJS with only 48000 miles on the clock. The vehicle was not driven much as you can see and was parked for some years. Now it will require some attention and therefore please read my description before bidding. The vehicle needs some work. The car runs and drives fine but it idols high. The RPM is at 1400 as you see in my photos. When it is on drive the RPM is of course lower and it drives fine. The vehicle was driven about 100 miles recently and it was fine besides again the RPM being high. I've noticed a small oil leak which I think is from the valve cover gasket. The brake system is fine and the vehicle breaks fine. The transmission is fine and it shifts up and down all gears. The power steering is fine too. The top does work sometimes. There are times where it wont open or close. It will need attention as well. The A/C fan blows which is as you know important on this model but there is a leak on the freon somewhere in the system. The oil pressure sending valve on the cluster is in-op and therefore the gauge does not show accurate information. The suspension is fine. Some panels on the paint were painted and it is obvious from the history of the vehicle and its paint job that there was no damage to the body but it was only painted due to discoloration or damage of the clear coat. Inspections on the vehicle are welcome and I do not mind third party inspections. I do not have the time with my very busy work schedule or the funds nor I have the right Jaguar specialist to complete the work on the vehicle. Similar vehicles with such low miles and year sell for way higher. I priced the vehicle very low with no reserve allowing the potential buyers to have enough room to do the work. The car will also need tires and the front bumper will need a repair and repaint. The booth cover and manuals are present. Thank you for looking.
