This beautiful Thunderbird is offered at an exceptionally low price considering it was gone through by the guys at Prestige Thunderbird Inc. in Santa Fe Springs, CA. in November of 2011. These guys know Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was purchased from a second owner in Texas in 2011 for $25,000. As soon as the car was received in California, it was taken to Prestige Thunderbird and completely gone through. The total bill at Prestige was $11,976.78. I included pictures of the 5 page invoice for you to go through because the list is long. Some of the major upgrades include the addition of power steering, the brake system was upgraded with an oversized power brake booster to make stopping easy, new fuel lines were installed, new carpet installed, new power window motors with new window glass and new weather stripping throughout the car. The car has a hard top only. The engine bay features all the correct parts, including the chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and Ford Red paint on the block. Ford's Y-block V8 provided power for the Thunderbird, in this case a P-code 292 cubic inch V8 making 198 horsepower. It starts easily and has a wonderful V8 exhaust note that invites you out onto the open road. Arguably the purest of the early Thunderbirds. As a result, it has much more of a sports car look than its siblings, one that I like a lot. Included are the original shop manual and a handbook. I am helping a Vietnam Vet friend of mine sell this car. Shortly after purchasing the car, he was diagnosed with some serious health issues and underwent some extensive surgeries. As a result, he is unable to enjoy the benefits of having such a classic car. The car has been garaged since it returned from Prestige Thunderbird.
