I bought this car a few yrs ago. It is a NC car. It still has the NC 04 inspection sticker in the windshield. ITS ONE OF THE NICEST, ORIGINAL 1940 FORD SEDAN DELUX 2 DOOR YOU WILL EVER SEE! It's all steel and has never been molested. This vehicle is from a private collection. She inherited it from her dad when he died and it has been kept in their garage for the last 20+ years. All gauges work including the odometer. It shows 53,728 miles, which is the original miles. It comes with the original flat head V8 engine with 3-speed manual transmission. It has just recently had new brakes, new gas tank, new fuel pump, carburetor rebuilt and new BF Goodrich wide white wall tires. It still has the original hubcaps and beauty rings. It has the original black lacquer paint, which looks good and would be considered great condition for a 73 year old card. But, if you get up close, you can see some spider webbing that is common for lacquer paint. It does show some normal paint wear because of the age. All body panels, door, floors, trunk, tool tray, and tail pan are original steel and solid as the day it was built. The original running boards are as solid as the rest of the car. The rubber on the them is bad, but that's because they have not had anything done to them, as they are original. The underbody is solid and still has the original sealant around the front and rear springs. The exterior trim is in nice condition and complete. It would need very little polishing to look great. It has rear bumper wing tips and front and rear guards that are original. It has the original grill and hood latch that are in good condition. All glass is in good condition. Trunk, doors, and hood all line up like they should, and they open and shut great. The frame is straight and solid, along with the original body panels. The engine compartment is in nice condition and still has the original flathead V8 engine. The interior is in very good condition. It has black front bench seat with white trim and white door trim. The back seat is matching bench style in good condition. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS THE ORIGINAL MATERIAL OR NOT. SOME SAY IT IS. The head liner is the original head liner in good condition. Dash looks great and all original gauges work. It has the original Motorola AM radio installed under the dash, and it hums but will not play. The original glove box mounted clock does not work and one hand is missing. The heater works great. THIS IS A SUPER RARE ORIGINAL 1940 FORD AND IS PROBABLY THE NICEST YOU WILL EVER FIND.
