Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1970 Dodge Charger. This car started out as a 500 model, but is now what I call a resto/mod and cloned as an RT as far as looks go. Changes in life are forcing me to sell this project of 5 years. I guess my loss will be your gain. I will start by telling you what has been done. I was building this car not for show as much as wanting to drive it anywhere I wanted to. Rust , absolutely no rust all new sheet metal throughout. A new floor was installed from the fire wall to the tailpanel, new rear frame rails new fuel cell, new rear springs and shocks. new fuel and brake lines. Frame ties have been installed and new exhaust. New front tie rods and upper and lower ball joints. Car has been converted to 4 wheel disc brakes with new master cylinder and booster. Under the hood is a new ported and polished 383 and rebuilt 727 transmission. I temporally installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge and upon cranking the engine 70 psi was produced. The engine will not start at this time as steering column wiring is not intact."Thats about where I stopped". As you can see in the pics I have all new parts on engine and all polished or chromed. New MSD 6al ignition and pro billit distributer. A new 4core aluminum radiator and 2 electric fans . Even the headlight door motor has been sent out and rebuilt. New 18" Diablo wheels and new Goodyear Eagle GT 235 45r 18 tires. Body is painted sublime green with satin black hood and rear stripe new vinyl roof and all new trim. Front bumper alone cost $1600 to rechrome. Now the paint is not perfect it was painted about 3 years ago and while working on it and storing it has sustained some scratches. I would give the paint job a 8-9 out of 10. Its does need a good buffing which I may do if time allows. Now the interior. In the pics it looks kind of messy but that's where most of the work needs to be done. As you can see I do not have original front seats. I chose a set of electric leather seats from a Chrysler 300 and the rear stock seat was redone to match the front. New carpet and headliner. All new Dakota Digital gauges installed in a custom dash. A new Vintage Air heating unit is installed under the dash. Sorry no AC. New windshield installed and all new door and window gaskets. New door panels and kick panels .I probably missed a lot more cause as I said it is all new and this will be a fine specimen when completely finished and there are very few parts left to buy. The work that needs to be completed are brakes bled and adjusted finish wiring. Purchase windshield wipers adjust linkages, tune engine and front end alignment and enjoy. The nice thing about this car is if a buyer wanted to make any further changes it would be easy to do as everything is new and modern. If you are looking for original then this is not for you, but my idea was to have modern conveniences and safety in a 43 year old beauty. This car will sell at this auction as I put a reserve on it far below what I have into it. Any questions feel free to call 507-210-6340 or email. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!!!.
