1973 Porsche 914 2.0L 5-Speed!!! Here is a gorgeous 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 liter 5-speed that is in excellent condition!! This car is originally a California car and is 100% rust free!!! This is an incredibly solid car. The 2.0 liter 914 is one of the most desirable of the 4 cylinder 914s and is presented in its rare factory color of Signal Orange. This 914 has had tens of thousands of dollars poured into it and it truly shows! This car has been treated to a recent paint job, newer interior, new windshield, weather strip, rebuilt engine and has been gone through throughly mechanically. This car is like a time capsule, it hasn't been modified and molested like so many other 914s. This car even retains its factory fuel injection! This is a factory Signal orange car as well as an appearance pack car which features Fuchs wheels, center console with arm rest and center stack gauges, fog lights, sway bars and other nice features. This car is in excellent condition and is turn key ready. These Porsches are incredibly fun to drive and very economical to drive every day!!! It is in excellent condition and will surely make its new owner happy. Click to enlarge Exterior: This 914 is finished in the rare and desirable Signal Orange paint finish and is in great condition. The car is a very solid California car with rust free floor pans, sills and "hell hole." The exterior of the car is in very nice condition. The chrome is all in excellent shape. The rubber bumper tops do have a couple flaws but overall are in nice shape especially considering there age. The car is really set off by the forged aluminum Fuchs wheels and accessory stripe! All of the lights are in good working order and the headlights do go up and down. The windshield is new and free of stars, pits and cracks. Overall the exterior of this 914 is in excellent condition. Click to enlarge Interior: The beautiful black interior is in very nice shape. The seats, carpet, door panels, headliner dash etc... have all been reupholstered a few years ago and are in nice shape. They are free of rips and tears etc... The carpet is the factory style carpet and is in very nice shape as well. This car is equipped with the optional console gauges with a volt meter, temperature gauge, and clock which are all great working order. All of the other gauges are in great working order as well. The radio is a modern unit with a remote. The top of the dash does have a couple of minor cracks which most of these cars have. If nessecary I can refinish the dash to get rid of the cracks if the buyer desires. The seats are very comfortable and due to the large windshield the driver is given a commanding view making it easier to hit the apex of each corner perfectly. The car retains its original steering wheel and that feels great in your hands. The large steering wheel, short dashboard, and floor hinged pedals really make ever occasion behind the wheel feel like something special. The interior of this car is in nice condition and is a great place to spend the weekend driving up your favorite twisty roads! Click to enlarge Engine: The 914s 2.0 Liter engine has plenty of power from the factory to accelerate this light weight car with ease. These engines were ahead of there time and are remarkably durable. This engine has been completely rebuilt and the transaxle clutch etc gone through as well. This car is an absolute blast to drive, the engine runs and sounds terrific, the transmission shifts perfectly through all 5 gears and the suspension and steering is nice and tight. This is a great running and driving car. The steering is nice and tight and free of "slop". The brakes feel great and the car stops with ease. This 914 sails along at modern freeway speeds without breaking a sweat and does it comfortably. I have receipts documenting the expensive engine build as well as many other reciepts documenting the mechanical overhaul done on the car.
