Up for sale is my 1949 Ford F1. Truck was an old business truck for a local bar/ cocktail lounge and restaurant in San Francisco, California for years back in the late 50's until the 90's from what I was told. Truck was used by owner and was always parked outside in front of the lounge in Niles, California. Truck has old patina lacquer paint that has a great faded look over the years. Engine is a 8ba Flathead with a rare original Edmunds intake with 4 barrel Holley carb. Fires right up every time and has always had good compression. Does not smoke or leak out of studs. Transmission is a mercury 3 speed on the column with overdrive. The overdrive works perfect and cruises down the highway with ease Trans is solid and shifts through the gears nice and smooth. Clutch is smooth on easy starts but will shudder if you try and take off quick from the start. Wheels and tires are on original Ford steelies with Mercury hubcaps. Tires are newer 235/75/R15 Radials that help keep the truck straight down the road. Body has a classic patina look to it that can not be replicated. Looks like and old lacquer paint job that is fading and cracking in spots giving it a great original style. Was told the back window is out of late 50's early 60's ford station wagon. Has some cancer on lower drivers door and on inside ( see pics for all ). Also has a bit of cancer on lower bed side closer to cab and on the bedside corner. steel sheet on floor but has wood slats underneath. Doors open and close very solid, door handles turn free and don't bind up. Floors are solid inside cab. Interior is all there and has nothing missing. All glass is in good condition and door glass rolls up and down easy. Gauges in dash all work ( speedometer, oil, volt, temp, gas) and there are also a mechanical gauge cluster under the dash. Truck has stock keys and has button on dash to start the truck once key is turned. All lights work ( headlights, tail lights and brake lights ). Wiring is in good condition with nothing spliced together or rigged up. Bench seat is in great shape and comfortable, has older carpet in floor that still shows well.
