Vehicle Detail

This is a neat 1959 Willys Wagon that is a good running and driving rig...looks like it has always been in California as the license plates that it has are from 1964-65 or so...always on the computer and registered in California to have kept its license plates. The clean California title I have lists these plates on this rig...and its from 1990. It looks like a low owner type of car..paint on the car is probably 40 years old plus if not older...interior possibly is similarly aged. This Willys was never a piece of junk left to deteriorate in the elements...in fact it was apparently knows as "The Toad"...because there is a early 70s vintage hand tooled leather key ring deal that says so. Its from the Los Angeles area and as such I have not seen any rust on it of consequence at all. The bottoms of the cowls, rocker panels, tailgate..all normal rust prone areas are very clean. Tailgate is super nice. Has a 1967 Chevy 283 motor...that runs great. Has a turbo 350 trans and it is running without a transfer case. It is a factory 4x4 truck..but when the turbo 350 was put in (probably 30+ years ago) they pulled the transfer case out..so it is now 2 wheel drive..though you can go back to 4x4 if you find and install a transfer case that would work in this truck. When I got this Willys it had been parked for about 15 years. I had the gas tank boiled out, installed a nos 60s electric fuel pump and new rubber lines. Also has a rebuilt master cylinder and its running cool Ansen set of clutch and brake pedals. The clutch pedal is there if you want to convert it back to manual trans. Has cool Stewart Warner customline guages and plaques from early 70s 4x4 outings...still has cool Advance Adapters sticker on the glove box door. Tires are old and should be replaced as they have a flat spot for sitting for so long and are dry cracked. The previous over installed a very high end (for the 80s) stereo system...has a Punch 45 amp and a Hella Beat crossover...cool stuff...isnt working but its neat that a 30 year old system is still in the truck...to me that proves that there was some care in preserving the truck. Cooling system seems to be working fine...its been hot here and just sitting still idling it went to 180-190 on the mechanical guage and stayed there...tranny shifts nice. Has a 4 barrel intake and a Holley Economizer carb..which was pretty common out here in the 80's. Check out the 40+ year old NOS off road tire as a spare inside. Also has really cool 15x10 "camper special" wheels...there are 5 of them and have probably been on this truck for 45+ years...those were popular on trucks in the mid 60's before mags were more prevalent. Overall its a really neat truck...there are still some things to tinker with...there seems to be a drain on the battery..I will try to see if I can find out what it is...and the drivers door handle needs replacing...the finger pull is gone. The vent window on the passengers side pivot pin is broken and the same side door glass has a crack..all other glass is good. Headlights dont seem to work. Interior is decent..headliner is nice. Small little dents here and there but overall looks cool. Describing a car like this is hard...if there is something of particular concern email me. If you are local by all means come look at it in person. Car is for sale locally...Mileage listed is just to conform to Ebays listing form. Terms; Full payment is to be in my hands within 4 days of auction end. I can deliver the car to a local (under 40 miles or so) shipping facility if it is to be exported for $100 Also wanted to add that if you are an international bidder you need to contact me so I can clear you to bid....if I dont clear you...you will not be able to bid..
