Vehicle Detail
1930 MODEL A FORD 4 DOOR SEDAN Up for auction at no reserve is my 1930 Model A. This car was restored in 1985 and still shows well. Beautiful car inside and out. It has hydraulic brakes, a T 5 transmission, air conditioning, 16 inch wire wheels wrapped with Diamond Back radial tires. Also has a 1956 Ford steering gear that makes it extremely easy to steer. The engine was replaced in 2000with a rebuilt inserted engine. The wood graining on the dash and garnish mouldings is beautiful. The glass in the right rear door has a small crack. I will try to show that in the pictures. The engine has a slight rattle at some speeds. It is not bearings , as it is quiet under load .I’m guessing, maybe piston pin. It’s been this way for as long as I have owned the car.(5 years). Any way I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It’s been on several long tours and performs flawlessly. The engine is also equipped with a Weber 2 barrel carburetor and exhaust headers. The 600-16 spare tires in the fender wells are only partly inflated. There is a 12 volt compressor in the trunk to air them up if ever necessary. A 12 volt accessory outlet is under the lip of the dash. The paint in front of the gas cap on the cowl is crazed a little from gas beingspilled. I will try to get a picture of that. 3rd Brake light in rear window.I have a folder with documentation of the restoration that totals over $37,000.00. The modifications such as the 5 speed transmission, Air conditioning and Hydraulic brakes were all done after the original restoration. On Jul-09-13 at 08:20:27 PDT, seller added the following information: A little more information on the restoration. RESTORATIONS UNLIMITED in Cary, Illinois did the restoration. I looked on the internet and they are still in business restoring automobiles. I have been asked about trades. I am not interested in trading as I am 76 years old and have to many cars now.
