Vehicle Detail
I have tried to list everything I can think of about this car. Please do not hesitate to ask more details about the car. This is a project it runs but is not drivable. The brakes lose fluid over time. Not sure where they are leaking from possibly master cylinder or distribution block. The GM 350 motor sounds good but the automatic transmission leaks. Paint is a flat black with faded pin striping. The black paint is chipping off and cracking in spots. There appears to be paint underneath the black. Interior is faded and needs some pieces put back in. The side roll up windows are all cracked but they are flat. Air bags need compressors wired up. Clear title, Air bags with 8 electric valves and 2 compressors. Painted black wheels with white wall tires. Dash has been fiber glassed, painted and flamed. New ball joints and bushings on front suspension. Rubber brake lines at wheels have been replaced. Mileage is unknown. You will need a trailer for this car so don't bid if you cannot get one. A deposit of 500 will be required within 3 days of auction end. Car should be picked up within two weeks of sale ending unless arrangements are made prior to sale end. On Jul-08-13 at 16:37:01 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had a lot of the same questions so I hope this will help answer them. I have drove the car down the street and back 2 years ago or so. A little history about the car.. I bought it off of a guy who used it as a daily driver (I was told). The motor had a lot of mods to it although I do not know what has been done. It ran out of brake fluid so it was parked under some trees in someones yard where I found it. Several years later I have replaced the rubber brake lines and bled the brakes they held but the fluid leaked out over time. My guess master cylinder or distribution valve.... no brakes means you can't drive it. The front suspension received new ball joints and bushings. Air ride all around with 8 electric valves and two compressors, compressors still need to be wired up (I use air compressor air to air up when I need to move it) There is one air leak that I am aware of where I had to use a plastic line into a fitting.Besides about 2 feet on each rear bag the rest is copper line. The rear suspension could use some new bushings. Interior is faded and some of it in pieces... I would guess 95% of the interior is there. Missing kick panels, the latch mechanism on the glove box, and one rear window control that I am aware of. The dash is not completely put in GM350 (I was told) with an automatic transmission. Whoever put it in did not get the linkage hooked up to the transmission very well so the gears are not in alignment with the letters or numbers on the steering wheel. Transmission leaks and not sure where looks like rear and pan but I am not going to guarantee its not coming from the bell housing as well. The power steering pump whines like it needs replaced. Motor seems to sound good although I am not mechanic. I put a fuel regulator on because it was getting too much fuel when I bought it I am still trying to figure out what to use to keep it sealed as gas seems to eat through teflon tape. I wanted it running in order to move it around but, I had hoped to find an original caddy motor and tranny to put in it that is why I did not really address the issues listed above. The paint is flat black but there is shiny paint underneath where it is chipping away making me think they did not prep the car before painting it flat black. It is a shame because the pin striping is excellent aside from it looking faded. The paint is chipping mostly around where the trim is and there are areas where it looks like the paint shrank and cracked. I have listed everything I can think of. It sounds like a lot but, as I said it is a project. I would rather be honest than waste someone's time. Whitewall tires. I had the person that painted the dash paint a lot of the interior pieces and wheels. let me know if you have any other questions
