Vehicle Detail

First off This is not my truck, I am listing it for a friend. However any questions you may have I should be able to answer. I have witnessed this build first hand and have to say this isn't one of those restorations like on tv now days were a few "mechanics" totally restore a car from the ground up in a week or so. This restoration has taken him almost two years to complete, basically on his own with the exception of the paint and body work and the occasional help from family and friends. This is one of those trucks that must be seen in person, the pictures do not do the truck justice. Some of things I have witnessed with the truck are: completly gutted interior; everything that could be unbolted from the frame and body before paint was removed and painted separtly; repainted the heater box probly ten times until it was perfect. Thats just the way he is. I have to call him out he is absolutly the pickiest person I have ever met when it comes to cars and trucks. If you buy this truck you will not be disappointed I can assure you of that. If I had the money I'd just buy it. You may wonder why hes even selling it if its that nice and the only reason hes selling is so he can go back to college. The following description is from him: If had to guess, I'd say that I have well over a 1000 hours in this one of a kind frame-off restomod. The motor is a 1996 302 V-8, converted to four barrel using a Mustang GT aluminium intake. A new Edelbrock 1405 carb with electric choke sits on top along with a new Spectre breather. The Mustang GT aluminium valve covers were also used. The factory hydraulic roller cam was replaced with one of Ford Racings B-303 cams. The entire ignition system is new including the H.E.I distributor, cap, rotor, coil, plugs, and plug wires. Exaust exits through Explorer 5.0 shorty headers, than through dual 2 inch exhaust pipes. The engine is cooled with a new water pump, a Be Cool V-8 Ranger swap radiator, and a electric fan controlled by a new adjustable thermostat. The starter, power steering pump, alternator are all remanufactured. The new battery is for a full size Ford and sits in a F-150 battery box (also painted) in the factory location. A C-6 automatic sits behind the 302. The C-6 was rebuilt some time ago by Fred Jones Enterprises, but has a few miles on it from when it was in another truck. The neutral safety switch was hooked back up wrather than by-passed. The speedometer cable was recalibrated to register the correct speed even with the oversized tires. A 1979' F-150 NP-205 transfer case and driveshafts look right at home under this Ranger. The axles are factory 3.73 units, the rear axle has a great posi-unit, it's one of the S-clip styles. The brake pads, shoes, rear hardware kit, wheel cylinders, and emergency brake cables are all new; the rear differential cover is a new chrome unit. The body is held up off the ground with a 3" body lift and a 4" suspension lift. The lifts are not new. The wheels are like new, they are 16x8 American Racing held on by new lug nuts. 315/75R16 tires wrap around the wheels, but are not new, they will last along time though. The frame and body were seperated then both were stripped to bare metal before the painting process began. All sheet metal is Ford original, the only rust repair was done on a cab corner but was replaced with another Ford Ranger cab corner. The doors, bed, and tailgate are from a 1989 or newer ranger. The two tone paint is done in Torch Red and Melbournerot-Effect. The paint is basecoat-clearcoat. These colors are layed out so well that at first glance they appear to be one color. Inside of the bed looks as good as the outside. Underneath the hood looks just as good as the outside, the fire wall is also done in Torch Red and Melbournerot-Effect two tone. This paint job is truly one of a kind and is as magnifiecent as it is unique. The frame and driveshafts were painted gloss black. The engine, accessory brackets, and transfercase are painted Dark Ford Blue. The transmisson and valve covers are painted Smoke Gray. The gas tank, coil springs, and shocks are painted Sunset Red. The windshield trim, wiper arms, antenna bezel, back bumper, and cargo light have been blacked out. The headlights, front marker lights, and taillights are all the clear style. The clear headlights are diffantly a step up from the factory halogen lights, not to mention way better looking. They also have blue headlight bulbs and blue running light bulbs wired to be on when the park lights are on.Styling enhancements also include shaved fender side marker lights, door handles, and bed pockets; its like they were never there. The interior is really good for the year. The only noticeable problem is that the dash has a few small cracks. Interior extras include Pioneer dash speakers, B&M sport shifter, and new oil, temp, amp gauges. This is truly a beautiful and outstanding classic ford ranger. I have included pictures of before the ranger was completed to show just how much time and money have went into this build. Also in the pictures you will notice that there are no inner fenders; I originally had plans for new inner fenders but decided they would hide to much of the time and effort that went into this paint job. You may notice that many of the pictures were taken after sunset; when the sun is out it is very hard to capture the two tone paint on camera. The paint is so shiny that when the sun hits it, its almost impossible to tell what or where the colors meet. This truck looks and sounds awsome. Must see and hear in person to truly appreciate the time and effort that has went into this one of a kind build. All the truck needs to be show ready is a good wash and a cleaning. The following is new: chrome front bumper, bumper bolts, chrome grille, clear headlights, clear markerlights, clear taillights, electric fan thermostat, washer fluid bag and bracket, washer fluid pump, brake master cylinder reservior, remanufactured brake master cylinder, breather, carberetor, water pump, remanufactured starter;alternator; powersteering pump, heater hose, H.E.I distributor;cap;rotor;coil;plugs;plug wires, battery, hot cable, fuel;oil;air;transmission filters, oil filter relocation kit, brake lines, brake pads, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, rear hardware kit, all emergency brake cables, front sway bar bushings, chrome rear dif. cover, most of the frame/body hardware, lug nuts, door locks, door mirrors, cab grab handles, tailgate handle, tailgate cables, window channel mouldings, window belt sweep moulding, inside door handle bezels, floor mats, wipers, and new paint. Also recently added is a new chrome oil fill breather in place of the factory oil fill cap this is not seen in the pictures. All in all ive got around $32,000 invested. This truck is sold as is where is buyer is responsible for shipping. I will help with shipping any way I can. Title is in hand.
