well after another close call i have decided to sell the bmw. coupled with my age...73...seems like the proper thing to do at this point in my life. the bike has been well maintained. i bought it in 2009 and it had 2300 miles on the odometer. it is now at 23500 miles. as you can see i have ridden the bike steadily over the almost four years i have owned it. it has been kept inside when not in use. most of my riding is on the interstate and for pleasure riding. the next major maintenance is at 30000 miles. the oil has been changed at the proper intervals and only synthetic oil has been used. the michelin pilot road 3 tires have about 1000 miles as does the front brake pads and the oil change. i replaced the battery approximately two years ago. the finish on the bike is indicative of the miles on the highway. however both panniers have finish blemishes. the pannier on the left was damaged when it popped open and made contact with the road surface...i did not have the safety tether engaged. the pannier on the right was damaged when i lost my balance rolling it in my garage and i was not strong enough to keep it up. the top case is as new and i am almost certain that it has never been used. also have an almost new tank bag for the bike. it also has a factory bmw cover. the bike has all the standard bmw features...but no radio or gps! if i can sell at a reasonable price i will include a bmw specific repair kit and miniature tire pump which cost 282 dollars. these were purchased from adventure designs. i did add additional mirrors mounted on the handlebars, additional led flashing brake indicators on the rear, and hi intensity front lights mounted on either side of the front wheel in order to be more visible to oncoming drivers. i am almost six feet tall and weigh 220 pounds and have gerbings heated liners for torso, gloves and boots. i have three olymia motorrad suits...two for warmer weather and one for cold weather... and a set of frogtoggs and bmw boots...all of which are in good to excellent condition. if interested i would be negotiable on price to include in the deal. if you have questions please use the ebay question and answer section. thanks for looking,,,hipo528On Jun-25-13 at 04:33:26 PDT, seller added the following information: i want to make sure that any bidders understand that the purchase price will not include the riding clothing. my intent was to let the purchaser know that these items would be available but at a seperate and very negotiable price. sorry if anyone misunderstood... thanks, hipo538On Jun-29-13 at 12:37:14 PDT, seller added the following information: i took the cover out of it bag this afternoon. it said that it was a Downco in the instructions...so i am not sure if it is a factory issued cover. the bike has always been garaged and i have never took the cover out of the case until today. On Jun-30-13 at 05:13:23 PDT, seller added the following information: to make sure...the sale does include the large bmw top carrier box which has never been used. i also have the pannier soft liners which allow you to remove the pannier contents in a case made of heavy gauge material. allows a person to remove and carry the contents of the panniers without removing the panniers from the bike. also the original mirrors which are made to pop loose and will...i bought and installed tethers so that if one pops loose it will not fall from the bike. i have the factory owners manual and a couple of miscellaneous items that were part of the owners purchase kit.
