Up for auction is a 1974 Suzuki TM400 Cyclone. The bike is basically a one owner machine and has not been ridden much for the past 10 years. It has it's share of dings and dents and scrapes, but overall is in very good condition. It has never sat outside or in a barn with a leaky roof. The seat has some rips and tears and you can see the duct tape in the photos. The exhaust has some shallow dents in it, but nothing radical. The alloy wheels are in very good condition and turn straight and true. All cables, levers, brakes, throttle, wheels, etc., are free and operate as they should. You can see some shallow dents in the tank in the photos. The motor has scary compression, and does have an installed compression release. The motor has excellent spark too. The bike was stored a few years ago with gas in it, so the tank needs to be flushed and the carb should be removed and cleaned. I didn't want to try to put fresh gas in it and just loosen up the old gunk, but I did give it a shot of starting fluid in the plug hole, and it fired on the second kick. After hearing it for those few brief seconds, I almost decided not to sell it! I have way too many projects however, so someone else should bring this old beast back to life. Believe it or not, I have clear title for the bike, so if any of you want to put LED lights on it, street tires, and turn it into a wheely-ing billboard for the local police, be my guest! The only thing that would have to be replaced on it is the cover over the countershaft sprocket and chain. The chain came off sometime in the past, and broke the cover pretty good. There are no holes or cracks in the left side engine case, so the cover could just be removed if you want. This bike is for local pickup only at my home near Chagrin Falls, Ohio. One other option is that I will be at Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio next month, and could bring it down there for you, if you are going. I would need a partial payment first, but I could work that out with the winning bidder. These things were beasts back in the day and were FAST!
