You are bidding on a totally cool 1955 Willys Pickup Truck. This is a major head-turner wherever it's driven! I bought this about 3 years ago, spent a lot time and money fixing it up, drove it for a few hundred miles, and it has been sitting since then -- less than 500 miles since I got it. Almost everything has been done to this truck to get it into daily driveable shape. Time to get it into the hands of someone who will enjoy it and drive it regularly. Under the hood, the previous owner installed a Ford 200 CID Straight 6 cylinder engine, with a Holley carb. I've been told that these motors run almost forever. The transmission is a 3-speed, and 4WD with a "splitter" Warn Overdrive. Two tall sticks -- one for the 3-speed, and one for the "hi / lo" for each of the 3 gears. Also 2 short sticks, for the 2WD / 4WD, and for 4WD lo / 4WD hi. On the freeway, the top speed is about 60 - 65 mph. It's geared a bit low, so it has great torque. The tailgate (see photos) is from a 1953 model, with the "O/W" Overland Willys logo stamped into it. Very difficult to find, and adds a great look. New paint -- Ford "Merlot" color New interior -- Gray Tuck & Roll, including doors and headliner New gauges -- "Classic" brand New brakes -- Drums, shoes & cables, all the way up New automatic choke New electric windshield wiper motor / system (in place of the original vacuum model) Wired for backup lights, and has a door-operated interior dome light Seat Belts No body rust. Very light surface rust on suspension, etc. Rebuilt transmission and carburetor, new fuel pump, new alternator, new glove compartment, custom floor mat, etc Has a radio in the dash -- doesn't have speakers so I don't know if that is in working condition. Comes with a spare "panel" to replace in the dash, if you want the cleaner look of no radio. Brand new battery. There is a crack in the back window, but it is completely weatherproof. Will likely need new sparkplugs and a tune up to get it fully running, due to it having sat undriven. Exact mileage is unknown. Changes since the photos: Tire white lettering has been blacked out. Gas pedal has been replaced with a replica of the original -- not the diamondplate shown Horn button is a black replica, rather than the red one shown.
