Vehicle Detail
Well you don’t see one of these come up for sale very often. I am offering up for auction this Black and Silver 1964 CL72 250 Honda Scrambler It is in unbelievable original condition! Serial number 1105205 The top end has been bored .50 over and new pistons and rings installed with new gaskets. New cam chain was installed Oil filter cleaned New sparkplugs It fires right up and idles fine although fine tuning was not performed. No broken, damaged, or bent fins The bike runs fine up and down the street with all the gears working properly This bike has the following; Center stand Original chain guard in great condition Side stand Tool box Original tool pouch with 14 original tools New battery The exhaust has no dings. Original owners manual Current title in my name and I have the original Washington State title from before 1980 It does not have current plates or tabs One headlight beam is burned out but the other works fine Mirrors are not original but resemble the originals Honda emblems are recent purchases Goodyear tire (when was the last time you saw one of these?) on the back (it is over 30 years old but holds air and has lots of tread) both tires hold air The fenders, fuel tank, and side covers have next to no dents or dings. No body repair to any of them. The paint has been freshened up on both the Black and Silver Good brake pads and clutches Very little pitting on the rims. They look good but are not perfect The seat has been recovered and as you can see, the surround trim ring (great condition) is there along with the passenger hold strap. Headlight assembly including headlight ring is in excellent condition. This motorcycle sat in the same garage for over 30 years. It has been cleaned up, the carburetors have been restored, and the top end has been freshened up. If you are looking for a 100 point concourse restoration, this isn’t it. However, if you want a 100 point Cl72 250 restored to concourse condition, you will NEVER find a better survivor to start with. Look at my feedback rating, I’m a straight shooter! If you want specific pictures, just let me know. I like true auctions so I’m starting this out low and the reserve price is reasonable. Bid to WIN! I will answer all questions and will help any way I can with shipping after you arrange it and I have payment. Paypal is good. Thanks for bidding!
