I got this bugeye one year ago from the fellow who was in the middle of restoring it in San Antonio. This was his wife's daily driver until 1979 when he took it off the road to restore it and turn it into an autocross car. The windscreen has the last Texas registration sticker on it still showing the year 1979. He got as far as disassembly, roll bar installation and a new paint job before he had health problems making it painful to work on and it sat until Feb 2012 when I got it and brought it from San Antonio to Iowa. What I have done: Installed new rear springs, carpet, and new front and rear turn signal lamps. This is a rust free Texas car that would make a great project I just have too many going right now. The engine turns over and the car comes with the soft top and frame. The soft top does fit over the roll bar. The paint is in good shape but has some dings and scratches from sitting for so many years covered in a garage. The passenger seat has a tear in the side and the seat covers are very plain. I can help load the car or meet a transporter at anytime or make sure there is someone here to pickup.
