All original 1980 CBX with 13.6k miles in beautiful condition. 100% turn-key ready to ride. No excuses, no disappointments. Rare Euro (GP) kit, which is the lower Euro handlebars and reposition?ed foot rearsets. All original paint in beautiful condition. No scrapes, scratches or marks. Beautiful all original instrument cluster. Instrument faces and needles paint are like new. All instruments and lights work perfectly. I have cleaned every electrical connection on this motorcycle. Everything works 100%. New brake master cylinder with DOT 5 silicone brake fluid so you will not have any corrosion issues like DOT 3 & 4 does. Rear master cylinder and all three brake calipers have been completely rebuilt with fresh boots and seals with DOT 5 silicone brake fluid. You will not have to rebuild these brakes for (at least) the next 20 yrs. My "rider" 1980 CBX was done this way 12 yrs ago and is still perfect. Other bikes I have done with DOT 5 brake fluid are going on 30 yrs use with zero issues or any corrosion issues. Original seat in wonderful condition. No scrapes, marks or tears. Brand new old stock original 1980 Honda CBX mirrors. Engine is super clean, valves have been checked and adjusted, only 3 needed adjustment. No engine oil leaks. Fresh Mobil 110w-40 4T 100% synthetic motorcycle specific oil and Honda filter. Original carburetors have been completely gone through with all new Viton "O" rings and seals so you will have no ethanol gas issues. I tested the carbs for zero leaks before re-installing them. The bike starts instantly and idles perfectly. The engine is quiet and pulls cleanly through the rev range giving 42 mpg. Fresh air filter installed. All fuel lines are fresh. Gas tank petcock rubber seals are in perfect condition. Original exhaust in beautiful condition. No rust or dents. Head pipes are still silver chrome, no discoloration. Forks have been disassembled, cleaned and new fork fluid. No leaks. Fork rubber boots and seals are perfect. Steering bearings have been cleaned, serviced and adjusted. New front & rear Avon Road Rider tires. New DID "O" ring chain with front and rear sprockets in near new condition. I found this CBX some 8 years ago and while most of it was there, it was in very dirty condition, so I've been going over each area and parts for the last 3 years. God only knows how many hours I have in it, but it's a labor of love for me and I have a great little shop that I like to work in. I'm an electrician by training and also have done my own motorcycle work over the past 45 years. Once you see all the photos I think it will be obvious I am a bit meticulous and attention to detail is my specialty.
