THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This is a really clean and well cared for “barn find” 1982 Honda CB450 Hawk, arguably one of the prettiest bikes Honda ever built. Excellent condition. Starts immediately, idles and carburates great, runs strong. Shifts through all gears well. Easy to maintain (electronic ignition, no points). Brakes, clutch and transmission all work great. Tires are like new. The following are new: spark plugs, battery, O ring drivechain, and grips. This bike is straight and solid, no road rash. No leaks (it’s a HONDA!). Always stored indoors to our knowledge, never abused. All instruments and lighting work! Odometer shows 16,968. Gas tank has some small paint chips and scratches, maybe from a tank bag, (a good body person could probably rub it out, touch up the decals, hit it all with some clearcoat and it would look GREAT) but NO DENTS, and VERY clean inside! Seat upholstery is in great condition, still pliable with no tears, no rips. To our knowledge, the only “fly in the ointment” is that someone apparently removed the exhaust end baffles. In reality, all the internals of the pipes are still there and it actually sounds quite fine, not loud at all. One could probably just screw some large washers into the gap and it would look stock again. The opening doesn’t appear to affect the performance, bike runs great. Chrome is good and all the plastic body sidecover tabs are intact. This bike even has the TOOLKIT! We try to accurately describe the shortcomings, but look at the photos and ask questions before bidding. Don’t bid if you intend to negotiate afterward; that is not how eBay works. This bike has a clear California title, bike has been registered “Non Operation” since 2008 while it was in storage to keep from paying any fees (since it wasn’t on the road). Former owner parked it to put the chain on and “never got to it” Fuel system and carbs were totally cleaned and should be no problem. Air filter, cables, brake fluid were also serviced. An additional new oil filter is included. This will make a VERY nice daily driver (or weekend warrior!) for someone who appreciates a good looking, reliable bike!
