My new car has arrived so offered for sale is my 1996 Audi A6 Quattro which has been my daily driver since 2007. This has been an extremely reliable car and a pleasure to drive in all weather conditions. These Audi 2.8 V6 engines are known to endure 300,000+ miles. I have just returned from a 2,300 mile round trip to Florida and the car performed flawlessly. I would feel confident driving this car cross-country without hesitation. Here is a description of the car you will be buying: Car has spent its life in Arizona and Florida where I purchased it in 2007. Paint shines nicely and no rust spots on any body panels. All body panels are straight with no scratches. There is one small ding on hood. I tried to show the ding via a close-up picture but it is barely noticeable and could not be seen in the close-up picture. Car currently has 166,933 miles. This silver Quattro is equipped with heated front seats and ski pass through from trunk through rear seats. Everything works on the car (including both heated seats, illuminated outside temp gauge and illuminated gear selector indicator...typical failing points on Audi C4 platform cars.) No warning lights or check engine lights are illuminated...system check on startup displays "OK." I have changed the engine oil/filter on this car at 3,500 mile intervals since I owned it. Car just received regular maintenance items including fresh oil/filter change, Pentosin automatic transmission fluid and filter change, new front brakes, new purge valve and new valve cover gaskets (a couple drops of oil a week were noticed on garage floor so both valve cover gaskets were replaced which eliminated minor oil seepage.) The interior of the car is very nice. In full disclosure and as can be seen in the pictures, the driver seat shows a bit of wear which is to be expected in a 166,000 mile car. There is a small tear in the stitching/seam on seat bottom stitching. The driver's side view mirror has the typical slight delamination around the edge of the mirror. The ignition switch could use a replacement ($8.00 part on ebay or $35 at the dealer) as it sticks slightly and has to be turned slightly to the left after you start the car. This Quattro has been owned by non smokers its entire life. All four tires are very good. I recently put on four new Michelin Pilot XGT H4 radial tires about 5,000 miles ago. As a bonus, if car is purchased with "BUY IT NOW" I will also include for the new owner a set of four OEM 15" Audi wheels mounted with Blizzak snow tires that were used for one season last winter. Again, I would not hesitate driving this car cross-country. I would be happy to pick up the buyer at local airport, train or bus terminal if requested.
