Vehicle Detail

1982 Subaru BRAT GL project car. It is all original and complete with the seats in the back. It has the cyclopian (third) headlight. It has dual-range on-demand AWD. It is the GL (non base) model so it has a lot more options than a normal BRAT. The body itself is donning its original paint, and body has only light dents and very little rust. Purchased from a towing company. It was towed off the street for being illegally parked and unregistered. It is off the DMV system from not being registered in so long. I never registered it in my name, but have all the sale paperwork from the towing company showing they legally owned it. I will also write any bill-of-sale necessary. It was running when I got it, but that was 2.5 years ago. Engine ran rough, but the transmission shifted perfectly. It has sat in my garage ever since because I'm stuck on rebuilding the carburetor. I don't have the time or knowledge due to my job. I started to try and rebuild the carb because my friend said it was running off the idle jets only not knowing what I was getting into. I have a spare rebuild kit. I have cleaned the carb, but it is apart. Just needs assembly or a new carb. I replaced the fuel pump with a new OEM one when it died on me. Car also has a new battery, fuel filter, battery cables, and plug wires. It's been parked in my garage at my Southern California (Riverside) residence until I pushed it out to take pictures. Nothing has changed since I purchased it except removal of the carb, the lame tape cassette stereo and old speakers (thrown in the trash), and the new parts mentioned above. This is a project car! It will take time and money that I don't have to complete. It has tires that will roll, but one goes flat over time. It will need all new tires, the gas tank drained and fresh gas put in, the carburetor assembled (it is OFF the car), a tune up (obviously), a right-side mirror, and that's the minimum I can think of. It will also need to be towed away, it's not going anywhere on its own soon unless you're an automotive mechanical genius. You're encouraged to look at it so you know what you're getting. It's beyond my ability (no time) and budget to fix, unfortunately. Please message me with any and all questions! The video below shows the car as it was purchased by me 2.5 years ago. I do NOT own the video, nor is it an example of its current condition as I have had the car 2.5 years. The pictures in the auction ARE of its current condition, however. http://youtu.be/N1_buw7T3qs Good luck!
