Vehicle Detail
Up for a no reserve auction is a 1978 Honda CB400T Hawk. This motorcycle is in great running condition, mostly factory, with new tires with less than 500 miles, and is ready to ride. It is in overall great shape with only minor defects. There is a small dent in the gas tank though there is no paint peeling. The dent can be seen in the photos. There are brand new coil, plug wires and plugs. The carburetors were cleaned by a certified mechanic and the cam chain tensioner was adjusted. Recent oil change with less than 500 miles. Other than the new coil, wires, plugs, tires, and a set of Italian made Gran Turismo grips by Brevettata this motorcycle is in factory condition. This is a 35 year old motorcycle; it is not perfect and I do not want to represent it as such. When I purchased this bike I cleaned up a few minor spots of surface rust. The main area I would like to point is the headlight high beam switch. It is missing the switch cover and there is currently a short screw that allows to high/low beam function to work. This CB400T is kick start only; there is no place for an electric start as it came out of the Honda factory 35 years ago. It does start on first kick even on a cold start up with the use of the choke. I looked up the serial number and this was the 4990th CB400T produced. Payments accepted are cash, cashier's check or money order. $500 required within 48 hours of action ending the rest due within one week. Feel free to contact me (812) 344-2892, ask for James, and the bike is available for inspection. Clear Indiana title in hand. There is no battery drain and the horn works. The bike idles smoothly and does not die. Also, there is an unopened set of fork gaitors (shock boots) that fit the bike that go with it.
