Vehicle Detail
What you are bidding on is a very rare car. You won't see too many of these in car shows or on the road. I bought this car in 2001 and have seen about 6 since then on the internet. I just got the car back from a relative who has had it for 6 years. It was garaged but not driven much. The car drives great and has a surprisingly smooth ride. The exterior paint looks good except where it has some chips, a couple of cracks and a peeling spot below the driver side rear window. The body has no rust. The rear bumper has some pitting from surface rust. The front top bar on the grill has some rust. There is a small ding on the front bumper. I had a new canvas top made for it in 2004 and it is in very good condition. The top is British Racing Green. A new hydraulic lift was installed to replace the old screw and jack system in 2004 and works perfectly. The driver side door needs to be adjusted to close and open better. The stainless is in excellent condition. The driver side rear window is cracked and in the trunk. All other glass is in great shape with no cracks or other issues. The trunk needs a new lock. The engine runs smooth and strong. I think it is a 289 V8 but some say it is a 302. Either way, it is powerful, responsive and runs great. I just installed a new air breather/filter, tuned up the 2 barrel carb, installed a new battery, replaced a broken brake line and a put in a new ignition switch. The interior seats are in good shape. All interior upholstery is in good condition. I had the entire car, inside and out repainted in 2003-04. The exterior color is sungate ivory which is the correct color of the car when it rolled off the assembly line. The interior color is a green which is also the correct color. The floor carpets are in great shape. The driver side inside door handle is missing. The trunk is clean, dry and rust free. The original jack stand is included. The tires have very good thread but are not radials. The Coronado Kit is a nice dealer addition and can be easily removed if the new owner doesn't want it on the car. I do not know the mileage on the car. When I bought this car the mileage was unknown. It has been driven under 1000 miles since I have owned it. There is no reserve on the car. This a wonderful car and will attract people wherever you drive it or show it. It has beautiful lines. There are No warranties implied or explicit. Car is sold" as is where is". Buyer will be responsible for pick up and delivery of the car and associated costs. Car is available for inspection. I will be happy to answer any questions about the car. I have a lot of information that is not contained in this listing but will be happy to share it with any interested party.
