1999 Lexus LX470 This LX470 has been well maintained. Until last week, it was driven every day and everything worked perfectly on the vehicle. While making a left turn, there was a significant clunk in the front and the car then had to be towed. We discovered that the front drive shaft was bent and the universal joint housing was broken (See Pictures). I am assuming that the differential was also damaged -- something went wrong!! Because of the mileage on the car, and the fact that our son is going to college in the fall and will not need a car, we have decided not to have it repaired. We did not even get an estimate -- we decided to auction it with no reserve "as is". The car still starts and runs well, but obviously it can not be driven. I have no idea how extensive the damage is, and I do not know how expensive it will be to repair. However, if you are comfortable making the repairs, this would be a great opportunity to get a nice car at a very cheap price. Also, used Lexus LX470 parts can be very hard to find and expensive.
